Phil Ivey Looking To Sell Medical Marijuana In Vegas

After reviewing more than 50 application for two days, members of the Las Vegas City Council gave Phil Ivey and another 25 applicants "thumbs up" to sell marijuana for medical purpose in Las Vegas.

However, a few administrative steps remain before Mr. Ivey can open his own medical marijuana drugstore in Las Vegas. First, the state health department in Las Vegas must approve his application, then the application will be sent to the City Council for a final review. As of today, it's not known how long the procedure will take.

oh boy is this a great business or what... this is my dream- owning a chain of marijuana shops throughout the world. i would be a perfect owner- since i would know everything about my good and even try all of them myself.

Not a bad addiction to have I guess...


Just hope for his sake that he doesn't make $7,000,000 just to be told, "actually - you can't have that money". That would be a bitch.

Imagine going into a marijuana shop and seeing Phil Ivey behind the counter, you would think that the hallucinations had started early!! Knowing him, he will probably make a fortune out of this as well

Phil loves making money, but if he really wants a lucrative business, he should ask those friends of him from Macao (u know, those members of the Triad whom he helped drying out). They would teach him a couple of new tricks I'm sure.
Nevada maybe voted yes on medical weed, but I think the casinos don't want many 'unmotivated' customers with a great hunger for cookies and stuff. They won't play with or spend on anything.

Haha go for it Ivey , having a business is good and if it is weed selling then yeah best of luck with that this is a good business model as there will always be people wanting to smoke though it will be for medical purposes !

Anyway if i ever come to USA i will go there and make a picture of it to get me by when i am done, knowing i bought weeds in Ivey shop lol.

Phil 'Polarizing' Ivey has finally strung together a few good sessions in November,but by far the biggest winner so far this month is Cort 'thecortster' Kibler-Melby, who finds himself up an incredible $560K.
That entire sum was earned in roughly 6.5 hours playing $2K/$4K 2-7 Triple Draw against Alex 'Alexonmoon' Luneau, who is now down a nauseating $355K in November.

Now this article makes perfect sense - apparently he have to make up some dough somehow for that new lawsuit he's about to loose, because liquidity is the name of the game and even though he make insane sums playing cards, the lawyers could chew up a sizeable chunk of his savings if he's not aware enough.

I really do not know why a poker pro like Ivey would go in this kind of business i know that the business is a very good money maker but IMO he should concentrate in is main occupation playing poker which provided him the money he have now. Big Smile

Exactly. Apparently medical weed/legal weed sellers are still having hard time even with opening bank accounts for their business since state laws and federal laws are differentiate on the legality of marijuana in many states where they decriminalized it not so long ago.
