After three action-packed days of poker at the UK and Ireland Poker Tour Edinburgh Main Event, a field of 427 entries has become a final table (will be played today) of 8 players! The chip leader is Jason Beazley (UK) with 2.3 million chips and Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree is not far behind with 2.2 million!

Boeree (the only big name on the final table) had poor results on the tournament circuit last year, but 2014 looks promising so far given that she finished in 50th place ($32,000) at the recent PCA Main Event and now has a great chance of taking down the UKIPT Edinburgh Main Event for £93,900!

Chip counts:
Seat 1. Jason Beazley, United Kingdom - 2,300,000
Seat 2. Jacobus Visser , Netherlands, PokerStars Qualifier - 265,000
Seat 3. Ciaran Heaney, Ireland, PokerStars Qualifier - 363,000
Seat 4. Tomasz Raniszewski , Poland, PokerStars Qualifier - 490,000
Seat 5. Dean Hutchinson, United Kingdom, PokerStars Player - 1,290,000
Seat 6. Liv Boeree, United Kingdom, Team PokerStars Pro - 2,229,000
Seat 7. Michael Kane, United Kingdom - 505,000
Seat 8. Eldon Orr, Northern Ireland - 1,136,000

Prize pool:
1st. £93,900
2nd. £59,180
3rd. £42,430
4th. £33,700
5th. £26,430

Good luck to all those left in but i would really like to see Liv Boeree win this tournament. She is a great poker player and a great poker broadcaster as well. Good luck to all those left in again

Yep cheers to those that reach final table sad though liv boeree is hot and a good way for pokerstars to attract female poker players and keep the game friendly instead of having all males playing at a table.

Its funny when you look at the prize pool in these tourneys - 90k for the winner compared with 10x that in the PCA and various other events.

You don't come to Scotland for money! Looks like Boeree is starting to do better anyway, she might not just be a pretty face after all used to boost PS attraction.

As far as i understand UKIPT Edinburgh is very popular among British and Northern Europeans players but not highly prestigious. Why starts so close with PCA?If not,in my opinion, could gather more participants from the upper classes of poker.Anyway, happy to see Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree so close because she needs one title to establish among top pro's worldwide.Let's do not hesitate and wait final table ends.

I cant see why a good-looking poker player who happened to be girl would attract more female players.
I can see what would attract more female poker players, but sadly for them L’Oréal or Louis Vuitton didnt have card rooms.
Yet.

It can happen though if we all working together Big Smile
Feminism FTW!

I did not checked out this tournament but from what i see in the bankrollmob reports about it it seemed it was pretty good.

Since now is done i wonder where the final table can be watched? I saw some stars players, is something on stars's site?
