The 2014 European Poker Tour Prague €50,000 Super High Roller drew a field of 41 players when it kicked off yesterday - seven of them even made rebuys during the first day. 32 players had chips left when the tournament director called it a day. Ivan Soshnikov, who entered the super high roller while he was still in the €1k Eureka main event, will lead the way to Day 2 with 905k chips.
Soshnikov, best known for winning the €10k high roller here in Prague last year, is closely followed by Brian Roberts with 857k. Among the top 10 stacks one can big names such as Juha Helppi (662k), Tobias Reinkeimer (618k) and Oliver Busquet (550k).
The plan for Day 2 is to play 10 levels of poker - or until a final table of eight remain. Registration will remain open until 15 minutes before Day 2 begins, so we will know the total prize pool later on today. Check back tomorrow for another brief update!
