After finishing 6th and missing out on a million dollar payday in the WSOP Millionaire Maker tournament, Stephen Garner got his "revenge" yesterday when he won the EPT Prague Main Event for $1,207,620 (€969,000)!
After five days of intensive play, Graner, 26, had made it to the final table with a big chip lead and he never looked back. It was the American pro's first EPT event, and he doubled his live tournament earnings thanks to this victory!
"I planned and prepared for this tournament for several months," Graner told PokerStars Blog, "I played well and ran very well," he continued. "I'm ecstatic, it hasn't sunk in yet. I'm sure I'll wake up feeling pretty good tomorrow."

Many congratulations to Stephen Graner on winning this event and taking home, the nearly, one milllion euro prize money. This guy has been playing really well lately and thoroughly deserves a title
This was a great win for Graner and as soon as he took the chip lead on the final table he played like it was his title and no one gave him any real trouble.I was impressed with the laddering by Jonathon Wong who always seemed to be one of the shorts stacks with about 12 players left and stayed with around 10/15BB right to the final three for a nice half a million euros instead of the 50k for coming around 10th.
There's a phrase you hear a lot in poker that is almost always uttered ironically: "Easy game," they all say, through the most gritted of teeth.Showing up in your best green hoody and sitting around for a couple of hours before someone hands you a cheque for close to €1 million.
"I planned and prepared for this tournament for several months," Why? It's not like you are on the summer olympics. Yeah winning a million is cool, but we know since the Social Network that a billion dollar is cooler. "I played well and ran very well," I like running too. 3 miles, 5 miles name it. I like to run. "I'm ecstatic, it hasn't sunk in yet. I'm sure I'll wake up feeling pretty good tomorrow. Well, now you have enough money for some high-end hookers and some quality blow so this feeling could last forever.
