Lukas BerglundAnother day of play has come to end at Casino Sanremo on the Italian Riviera. 115 players made it through to Day 3 of the EPT Sanremo Main Event with Lukas Berglund from Sweden bagging up the largest stack of chips.

Berglund really had the Texas Hold'em gods on his side in Day 2, including a hand where he picked up aces against kings and queens to knock out two players! Believe it or not but he will bring a massive 694,600 chips into Day 3! That's 212,200 more than the player in second place!

Berglund will be joined at the poker tables today by the likes of, just to mention a few with decent stacks, Oliver Busquet (387,900), Michael Tureniec (212,100), Johnny Lodden (185,000), Mickey Petersen (164,700), Vicky Coren (162,400) and Pius Heinz (102,700).

The remaining players are fighting for a prize pool of €2,480,872. The money bubble will burst when 89 players remain (min cash is worth 8,434 Euro) and the last man standing will take home a whopping €476,100! We will be back with another update tomorrow morning!

Its great to see Johnny Lodden back playing well again. He seems to have been under the radar for a few years after being the top player in Europe a few years ago. Good luck to all those still in

Is there any reason for the name of that New Zealand $600k tourney winner isn't mentioned here? Did he already got out of the tourney or he just didn't followed the leaders in the top of the ranking?

Oh my god another Swedish player on the front line, we have enough of Blom already. Big Smile Anyway good luck to him and hope he gets to the final, but I think the lead will change hand again and we have to wait till the late phase to see who gonna wins it. Anyway good luck to those playing! Will be fun!

Quite nice, that he could maintain his big stack even on day 3.

Good luck!

It seems that this tournament really started to heat up, even if at beginning it was not that spectacular...

I saw that Spaniard is already in the lead right now and the only most known name in the game is Victoria. Not sure if she can make an spectacular comeback in this event.

It seems that she did. Big Smile

Big congratulations to her!
