1,475 players turned up for the $1,500 Mixed-Max event when it kicked off on Monday. After three long days of poker, long-time pro Jared Jaffe had all the chips in play after eliminating fellow American pro Mike Watson in second place. Jaffe received $405,428 in prize money and earned his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet!
Jaffee has been a regular at the WSOP for the past six years and this win marked his 11th WSOP cash and more than doubled his WSOP earnings. The 33-year-old poker pro from Brooklyn, New York, who took down WPT Jacksonville bestbet Fall Poker Scramble $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event in November last year, also moved one step closer to Poker's Triple Crown thanks to the victory in Event #58. Now, he "only" needs an EPT title to complete the triple crown!
