Noah Schwartz Wins WPT Alpha8 Florida

A big congratulations to Noah Schwartz, the winner of World Poker Tour Alpha8 Florida! The $100,000 buy-in event attracted a small but tough field of players (Jason Mercier, Byron Kaverman, Dan Colman, Jake Schindler, Noah Schwartz and Bryn Kenney), which meant that the entire prize pool would go to the last man standing.

Schwartz entered heads-up with a 3-1 chip lead against Jake Schindler, best known as the winner of the 2014 PCA $25k High Roller ($1,192,624). Schwartz dominated play until his fellow American opponent basically was forced go all in to have a chance to get back into the match. Schindler won that pot but then lost another all-in later on to finish in second place.

Schwartz earned $585,000 for the win - along with the Alpha8 trophy, a pair of Monster 24k headphones and a Hublot King Power Unico titanium watch. He also became the first player in WPT history to have won Main Event and a ALPHA8 tittles, both of which have come in his home state of Florida.

Many congratulations to Noah Schwartz on winning this event and taking home the first prize of $585,000. I would be terrified sitting on the same table as these guys so congrats again to him for winning

I have seen a few tweets from Jason Mercier about this one and he didn't sound very happy about only the winner getting paid, only 6 entrants registered for this high roller for 100k each but would he be feeling different if he had won it?

Cheeers congratulations to Noah hope he had fun and all winning and the first month win is the best and you know that this is going to be a good year, but we all know about that wins where we feel invincible and then we are brought back down when we loses all our profit in the next few months, and we have to re do and be in profit once again!

Anyway have fun guys at the tables and also on BRM hope you do well and most of all have a good time at the tables , cheers peace out!

Congratulations to Noah
we know that 100 K is lot of money
but only 6 players registered , where is the regular guys ?
i mean they could have organised the tournament by themselves
and play it at somebody's home and they could have saved 15 thousands
world poker should advertise more to get more players

anyway Dan Colman was the favorite but surprisingly Noah took it

isn't the PCA on? or just finished, so lots of players wouldn't have this alpha8 event pen'd in the diary. I think the lack of players could be due to this scheduling. But for 6 players how many places does mercier want paid? got to make it worth while with the winner takes all....

Haha, poor guys. They would've better off if they've gotten book a hotel suite for this game - to themselves - on those 15k which didn't go to the winner. Put the 100k x6 on the table, and the last man standing gets everything. 15k could allow them a lot of fun things to have around in a hotel room: booze, food some exotic dancers - they shouldn't pay for this to WPT. Who cares about titles. Only the money they're in for eventually. Six man and none of them even thought about this. Pokernerds.
