What a phenomenal tournament this sounds. I cannot believe that anyone would pay $200,000 just to enter a poker tournament. I look forward to watching this when it comes on TV

Those guys used to play cash games for millions of dollars on a regular basis. So a $200k tourney should come as no surprise. Actually i expect a 1 million dollar buy-in tourney not to far down the road.

you had 2 of them... if you remember WSOP big one for one drop in 2012 was 1m$ buy in, also in 2014 was 1m$ buy in, so expect this year to be 1m$ buy in Blink and I think if there will be one this year that will breake all records Big Smile

This may be a record buy in for the WPT but I am sure most of these players have paid more to enter other tournies.....the one drop tournie was a $1 million buy in and I am sure there have been others as well......though it would be a great tournament to watch.

I just wanted $ 200k in my account Sad But as said, this buy-in is "cheap" for the pros
