Dominik Panka, best known for winning the 2014 PCA Main Event for $1.4 million, is the biggest name among the finalists of the first ever EPT Malta Main Event. The Polish poker pro was all in at least three time during Day 5, and he rived an ace in one of them to beat the pocket kings of Fedor Holz, who was the chip leader at one point but finished in 9th place (offical final table bubble).
Panka has been running rather well to say the least and will bring 1,680,000 in chips to the final table. However, if he wants to win another EPT title, he will have to play his very best when the tournament resumes as it's the French duo Valentin Messina (7,805,000) and Jean Montury (7,185,000) that will bag up the biggest stacks. With so many chips to their names they should both have a great opportunity to win their first EPT title, the €810,400 top prize and an exclusive SLYDE watch. Check back on Monday morning for a final table recap.
Seat 1 - Stefan Schillhabel, Germany, 5,515,000 Seat 2 - Javier Gomez Zapatero, Spain, 3,800,000 Seat 3 - Valentin Messina, France, 7,805,000 Seat 4 - Hossein Ensan, Germany, 865,000 Seat 5 - Dominik Panka, Poland, 1,680,000 Seat 6 - Jean Montury, France, 7,185,000
It must be a great feeling for all these players knowing that they have a massive chance of winning this tournament and becoming the first ever winner of this event. Good luck to all
If he do that, he will be the second player to achive that, after Vicky Coren do it, one male is fighting for that to long time, because after to many European Poker Tours, not have 1 male get the second title is strange, and shows that the ability of many players are improving day by day. Just my opinion, i dont like to much the guy, but he plays very good so, seeing the other players there, maybe i put on her to win.
I have noticed that Dominic Panka has been playing really well lately and it is no surprise to see him doing well in this one as well.I don't really know much about the French guys but they have been playing well when it matters the most.

I like my 'massive chances' in almost everything in life. Not many times I have them at all.
