7,000 players entered last week's Sunday Million on PokerStars, which meant that a prize pool of $1,400,000 was up for grabs. In total, 1,080 places were paid with $210,000 put aside for the last man/women standing.

After many hours of play the tournament was down to its last three competitors. They quickly agreed to pause tournament to discuss a potential deal. Stack sizes were the following:

Legadzo 29,165,791
spenny32 22,721,035
DuTTiFruTTi9 18,113,174

According to PokerStars Blog, chip leader Legadzo, from the UK, voted a chip chop deal while the other two players preferred ICM. The numbers were not too far apart and Legadzo eventually got it his way. $20,000 was still at stake when the cards were back in the air.

Although $20,000 is quite a lot of money, it only took 15 more hands until a winner was crowned. After eliminating DuTTiFruTTi9 in third place, Legadzo had 47 million chips to spenny32's 22 million. The Brit took down all five of the heads-up pots, four trades of blind and the final hand:

Legadzo limped in on the button with QClub10Club and spenny32 checked with 4Spade8Heart. The flop rolled out QSpade8Club3Heart, spenny32 bet 1,760,000 and Legadzo raised to 3,786,666. spenny32 shoved his remaining stack with the middle pair and Legadzo called with the top pair. The 3Club turn and 3Spade river completed the board and Legadzo took home the final pot of the tournament with a full house: threes and queens.

Legadzo received $182,214.33 for winning his first Sunday Million title, while runner-up spenny32 got $151,118.48.

I just looked up his profile on another well established poker site and he has now apparently won over a million dollars online, not sure how accurate that is but well done for a great result.Would be interesting to know more about the player. Smile

He probably knows what he is doing. 7k playerpool seems below average though.
