The main idea behind a charity poker tournament is to collect money for the less fortunate. It's not that common that players actually leave a chairty tournament with more than their buy-in back.
However, on Monday at the Howard Frank Memorial Deep Stack Charity Classic at the Daytona Breach Kennel Club and Poker Room, a women managed to win $100,000 in a single hand!
The winner, poker amateur Sandy Brown, probably couldn't believe her eyes when she flopped a royal flush of diamonds (probability 1 in 2.6 million) which, as part of a promotion, was the requirement to win $100,000 in cash! But that's not all - she also won a brand new Kia k900 Sedan worth $60,000! Several pros attended the event, including Kara Scott, Norman Chad and Phil Hellmuth, who tweeted this picture of himself with the lucky winner.
