WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown: Six Players Left; Joe Ebanks Third In Chips

Ely Levy and Griffin Paul were the only two players with over 6 million in chips when Day 3 kicked off on Tuesday. Levy eventually finished in 11th place for $58,500 while Paul continued accumulating chips throughout the day. In total, he had 14,290,000 or almost a third of the chips in play when the final table of six was set and play ended.

His closest opponent, Andre Crooks, has just about 4 million less - which might give you an idea how well Griffin Paul was doing on Day 3. Nothing is written in stone, though. Besides Paul and Crooks, the other four players should also have good chances of becoming the champion (and $1 million richer).

Joe Ebanks, who has $2.4 million in live tournament earnings, is the biggest star on the final. With the third biggest stack (6.5 million) and so much live tournament experience, he will definitely put on a good fight on today's televised final table (begins 4 pm local time today).

There's 10 minutes left in Level 30 (blinds 50,000-100,000, 15,000 ante), the blinds at the next level will be 60k-120k with a 20k ante. May the best player win!

Chip counts:
Seat 1.  Griffin Paul  -  14,290,000  (119 bb)
Seat 2.  Joe Ebanks  -  6,585,000  (54 bb)
Seat 3.  Ryan Rivers  -  4,170,000  (34 bb)
Seat 4.  Shawn Nguyen  -  3,615,000  (30 bb)
Seat 5.  Brian Green  -  5,205,000  (43 bb)
Seat 6.  Andre Crooks  -  10,350,000  (86 bb)

Here's the final table prize pool, followed by the 12 players who were eliminated on Day 3.

Griffin Paul must have an outstanding chance of winning his first World Poker Tour title and taking home the first prize of $1,000,000. Must be a great feeling, that whatever happens, you are guaranteed over two hundred grand

For a final six players the chip stacks are all pretty close, the short stack has 30 BB so is not really under any great pressure to double up quickly and even the chip leader knows that just one bad hand can leave him in trouble but with the money being weighted towards the top 2 then things could get really interesting.

'The great feeling' would be the one he gets after paying a large sum to the IRS when this tax year for him is all wrapped up and ready to go. Can't imagine how much would they let him bleed after a million in poker winnings.
