Alex Jacob's winning streak on Jeopardy! came to an end on Monday. It was the former poker pro's seventh appearance on the popular game show and he ended up in second place after answering incorrectly ("What is twitter?") in the final clue "This social media company launched in October 2010; in 2012, with about a dozen employees and no revenue, it sold for $1 billion." - the correct answer was "what is Instagram?"

In total, Jacob's managed to win $151,809 before being eliminated on Monday. This means that he's made the list of the top 15 all-time Jeopardy! winners. The biggest winner to date is Ken Jennings with more than $2.5 million in winnings.

I am quite surprised that he got this question wrong after managing to do so well previously but with a total of over $150,000 he must be quite happy with his performance.
It also says that the jeopardy champion holds a record of over $2.5 million.....how the hell could that happen? He must have been on the program for weeks or was he the one who was being told the answers before the show started?

Lots of fans commented on social media that they didn't like his style of play. Jacob had a solid strategy to win Jeopardy, one which clearly demonstrated his poker prowess. However, the typical Jeopardy contestant (or any Game Show contestant, for that matter) doesn’t arrive with anything like a game plan, which is usually more entertaining for mainstream audiences.

Like sorin888 said many lot of players in this kind of shows, just go, and they see what happens when they are there on the seat, and a small percentage study and learn and make a plan to face this tip of games, and usually this guys they are the wiiners or the most jackpot or biggest level or biggest money amount, or many weeks or days in a row, because if weare prepare to face all the circumstances, we have more changes to win.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Oh, I shed strong crocodile tears that he cannot go longer in a quiz show as I did when I learned he's just a former pro now.
Ah, such travesty for the entertainment business loosing a guy such as his caliber.
Not.
