Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier isn't the only player winning multiple Spring Championship of Online Poker titles on PokerStars. On Tuesday, May 21, a Canadian player under the alias ‘dragonwarior' won two high buy-in events within a few hours and collected over half a million dollars!

He started off by winning Event 30-H, a Super Tuesday Special edition to collect $275,202.50. According to PokerStars Blog, the finish time for the event was 6:42 am ET. Not even four hours later, at 10:02 ET, he collected another $256,056 for being the last man standing in Event 33-H.

Just like in many other online tournaments with big prize pools, it's common with deals on SCOOP final tables. However, dragonwarior won both events without a chop, which is kind of remarkable when taking into account how much prize money was at stake on both final tables he played.

This is a truly remarkable feat considering the amount of players entered in both tournaments. Where these guys get their mental fortitude from is anybodys guess because i could never keep up my concentration levels for so long

yeah that's fcukin awesome- we've seen this sort this before if i recall it right, but really how hot should one run to win two tourneys with 1k runners on average in ONE DAY... fcuk yeah- that makes me feel even better about my poker skills, considering that i haven't won a single tourney with more than 10 runners in my life...

wow ... just wow
incredible achievement
half a million in one day .. taking 2 one of the biggest tournaments online
winning one is something else but two is skill
the fact he didn't make any deal .. it proves that he was confident that he would take the big bucks
i can't imagine what he is feeling right now .. it is indeed life changing amount
i would like to know more about the player but there is nothing available

This guy is ranked #1 on OPR for Stars... So although it is obviously a fantastic amount of money, and an even more fantastic achievement... It's probably not actually life changing.

Yeah but what I'm saying is it probably won't change HIS life... Not for second suggesting it wouldn't be life changing to someone like you or I.... Heck, right now $5k would be life changing for me Smile

Nobody seems to know who this guy is.... But I guess it's only a matter of time before he shows up taking down some huge live tourney, then everyone will know.

Raises interesting points about the future of poker... There are many well known pros currently... But how many will there be in 20 or 30 years time? When someone can sit at their computer, making hundreds of thousands a day... whereas back in the old days, players such as Doyle Brunson had to travel hundreds of miles just to find a game...

The game sure is changing...

The poker coach profile had a picture of a very attractive young woman called Jan Klaasen, age 20,an old profile but you never know. She was charging $15 an hour back in 2011 so may well have been a good investment if the same person. Smile
When I look at the low stakes games now I really feel for players getting into the game now,I watched a $10 tournament the other day thinking of late registering and using some old tickets but the standard of play seemed either way too aggressive with junk or getting your whole stack in as early as possible with a decent hand.No playing down the streets or tactical play and in all very disappointing to watch. Sad

Hey, yout - the amount of time you need to sit in front of the computer learning about $hit or whatnot and analizing your gameplay is correlating to how much time Brunson spent on travelling back then IMO. If making hundreds of thousands would be that easy as sounded no pro would ever leave their home.
