2015 WSOP: 506 Players Remain After Day 2 of The Colossus

The Colossus (Event #5: THE COLOSSUS $565 No-Limit Hold'em) record field of 22,374 entries has been narrowed down to 506 players after several starting days and Day 2.

Valetin Vornicu (picture) will lead the way into Day 3 with 1,237,000 in chips. Vornicu, from San Diego, CA is the only player with over 1 million in chips - her nearest opponent, Shahen Martirosian, has 799k in chips.

The remaining players are battling for a top prize of $638,880. We will be back with another short update tomorrow in the afternoon.

I cant believe the size of this field and to have over twenty thousand players at a live event is quite astonishing. Good luck to all those left in and the first prize will be thoroughly deserved to whoever wins it

I think that a first place is realy joke on this event... there r 22k players registred to this event and 1st place prize is only 600k$.... I know its 1100 multiplayer, but with that large field this number should went up with more than million bucks....

Agree. I wrote in some other thread a couple days ago that this tourey was atrocius based on the kickback percentages alone...
