Event #30: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em

A bracelet is still on the line after a very long day, Day 3, of play. Ivan Luca holds a big chip lead (7,780,000) heading into tomorrow unscheduled Day 4, and he will play heads-up against Artur Rudziankov (2,985,000).

Both players have already secured a $219,976 payday by outlasting 2,148 other players. However, only one of them will take home the gold bracelet, which comes along with the $353,391 first-place prize.

Event #32: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed

190 players started Day 2 and 60 of them secured a minimum payday of $8,892. However, only 20 players made it through to Day 3 and still have the chance of nabbing the gold bracelet and $633,357 top prize.

James Obst will bring the largest stack by far into Day 3 with 1.9 million in chips. His closets opponents are Simon Deadman (1,020,000), who led after Day 1, and Nacho Barbero (1,037,000).

Here are some of the remaining bracelets winners in this event: Tuan Le (800,000), Jennifer Tilly (715,000), Igor Dubinskyy (322,000), Jason Mercier (328,000), Pierre Milan (974,000), and Mike Gorodinsky (437,000).

Event #33: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball

A player will be crowned on Day 3 of the $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball event. Toby Mulloy will lead the remaining players with a stack of 323,000. Mulloy will be accompanied at the poker tables by bracelet winners Phillip Hui (232,000), Ian Johns (116,000), Andrew Brown (200,000), Steve Billirakis (115,000), Brock Parker (202,000), and Dutch Boyd (120,000).

All players are guaranteed to walk away with $5,473 in cash, but there's only one bracelet up for grabs. Aside for the bracelet, the champion will get $136,215!

Event #34: $1,500 Split Format Hold'em

This tournament attracted a field of 873 entries on the first day of play. It was a smaller than usual size for a lower buy-in event, but many of the parcipants were well-known pros, including Paul Volpe, Mike Leah, Jake Cody, defending champion Jared Jaffee, as well as former Main Event champions Joe Cada, Huck Seed, and the 2015 WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson.

The remaining 159 players will return to the Amazon Room at 1 PM tomorrow (including many of the players mentioned above) and do their best to make it through another day of play - i.e. one step closer to the final table.

Anyhow, it was Matt Iles who bagged up the chip lead after nearly 11 hours of play on Day 1. Also accumulating plenty of chips were Jordan Young (123,000), Jesse Rockowitz (114,100) and Michael Michnik (112,800).

Event #35: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.

Eli Elezra, a regular poker pro in seasons 1-6 of GSN series High Stakes Poker, is the chip leader after Day 1 of the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event. This event attracted many of poker's best players, including Barry Greenstein, John Hennigan, Tom Schneider, Maria Ho 2005 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Hachem , Mike Matusow, and Phil Hellmuth - all of whom will return for Day 2.

Poker stars who weren't as fortunate and busted during the first ten levels were, just to mention a few, Daniel Negreanu, Robert Mizrachi, Chris Bjorin, Brian Hastings, Ylon Schwartz, Calvin Anderson and Scott Clements.

Not really sure any of these chipleaders came through at the end. This year's WSOP was successfull in a sense where many of the prizes went out to guys (and girls?) who worked hard coming from behind, coming from disadvantage to the final tables...
