Season 8's Latin American Poker Tour Peru Main Event (sponsored and organized by PokerStars) is down to a final table of 8 after three intensive days of play. The 8 finalists, who have outlasted 358 entries so far, are now guaranteed to take home at least $19,060 each, and the last man standing will get $156,576!

Remarkably, not a single player from the host country will appear on the final table (Jose Espinoza, the last Peruvian, finished in 11th place). Half of the seats will be occupied by Chileans, and the remaining players are from Brazil (2), Lebanon and Colombia.

1. Claudio Moya (Chile) -- 1,573,000 (98 BBs)
2. Daniel Ramirez (Colombia) -- 1,503,000 (94 BBs)

3. Chadi Moustapha (Lebanon) -- 900,000 (56 BBs)
4. Hélio Neves (Brazil) -- 827,000 (52 BBs)

5. Cristian Aceiton Ruiz (Chile) -- 826,000 (52 BBs)
6. Marcus Martinez (Brazil) -- 815,000 (51 BBs)
7. Jose Ili (Chile) -- 382,000 (24 BBs)
8. Ricardo Chauriye (Chile) -- 320,000 (20 BBs)

Come back tomorrow to find out who won the tournament.

Although i don't know any of these players, i will have to make some support on the Brazilian, once we share the Portuguese language. And looking at their stack, they don't seem to be bad at all. Now, do you think this country subject may have some influence on the way this final table will be played? When we look to famous players we forget all about that, but here, with fortunate less known competitors, it may weight a bit. If i was a brazilian, although it's each one for himself at the table, i would rapidly try to eliminate a foreigner than a fellow from the same country... unless he stoles me some chips first, that way my rage would be all against him Big Smile Ok, each one do your game, no deals Big Smile

I don't know any of these players but there is a massive customer base and lots of money in South America for Pokerstars to try and get hold of.
I imagine that we will be seeing many more players from these countries in the big tournaments fairly soon.

Good luck to all these players left in and it must be a tremendous feeling to make one of these final tables and the excitement levels must be off the scale. Good luck again to all

Yeah, it's a massive customer base and outside of that one really lucky guy from Lebanon it's good that this tournament's final table going to reward those who are living and playing in South America, not just poker tourists in the live tourny circuits.
