Big Changes In Full Tilt's Latest Software Update

As a part of a new strategy to, for example, bring in new players, Full Tilt has removed heads-up cash games tables; changed the highest stakes to $10/$20 for No-Limit Hold'em, $15/$30 for Fixed-Limit Hold'em, $10/$20 for Pot-Limit Omaha and $2/$5 for Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Low; removed all Stud, Draw and Mixed Games. In addition, players will now be randomly seated at a table after selecting preferred game and stakes, and tables will be moved together once short-handed.

Dominic Mansour, Managing Director at Full Tilt, said the following about the changes: "We recently revealed that we are making some big changes at Full Tilt to improve the playing experience by making the game more accessible and exciting. Online gaming has evolved considerably since poker arrived on the scene, and the way in which people play has also changed.

Many players that are new to the game can find the traditional online poker ring game lobby unwelcoming, so we're streamlining the journey, helping people to get into their game smoothly and quickly, wherever they may be playing.

When a player arrives at a live card room, they tell the poker room manager what game they want to play and the poker room manager will take them to a table with a free seat so that they can start playing straight away. As players join and leave the live card room, the poker room manager brings new people together to create new tables, and moves players from short-handed tables to ensure every player has the best possible experience.

Full Tilt is introducing a very similar system for our online play - an online system that will make it as easy as possible for you to load up the software, choose your game, and start playing immediately.

As a player, you can choose your game type and preferred stakes and be instantly seated at a table, getting straight into the action. It keeps things fun, fast and simple. Tables will be merged if and when two or more become shorthanded. This new system will ensure that your success is determined by your talent at the table, not your skill in choosing opponents.

In addition to these changes, we've decided to remove Heads Up tables from our ring game offering. We're doing this for two important reasons; firstly, Heads Up games were being adversely impacted by the minority of experienced players who targeted ‘weaker' opponents rather than take on all challengers, and secondly, new players who tried out the Heads Up games found it intimidating and confusing (asking themselves "why are all these guys not playing each other?"). Unfortunately, these table selection changes didn't fix this problem so in Heads Up we had no choice but to remove them altogether, as we know the more new players that play it, the less likely they are to return and keep playing. In short, Heads Up ring games just didn't form part of a healthy poker ecosystem, which made our decision to remove them easier.

We are also removing nosebleed stakes, Stud, Draw and Mixed Game ring game tables. The new structure will present a clean offering for all players and we consider these ring game changes to be key to Full Tilt's ongoing commitment to provide a level playing field and attracting and retaining more casual poker players.Full Tilt

We also recognize that in the past, a proportion of players have used extensive table selection to their advantage and that those players might not like these changes. Their advantage over other players will now be negated and we don't think that's a bad thing. Good things happen to those who play and we believe the changes we're making will see even more good things happening to more players at Full Tilt.

We hope that you'll enjoy the new lobby experience and will let us know what you think by emailing us at [email protected] .

whatever.

however, only whatever is not enough ever... that is why i feel the need to expand on my answer- full tilt has been going downhill imo, and some sort of new strategy was needed, player base was non existent compared to stars (though both sites are owned by same company) and that is the 1st issue that needs to be tackled. bringing in recreational players and recreational bots can really solve the no dudes at the tables issue...

Yep. FT has lost a lot of traffic this year, especialy on the cash game tables. Most rooms have problems right now, but FT is hit extremly hard. So they have to do something to stop the rott. If it woks, it can then be adapted by Stars.

IMAO JACKPOT SIT&GOES have big impact of the poker game.PS and FT (especialy FT) can't have big trafic with big loses of the new player on Jackpot sit&goes part of the sites. Most of the newbees dont play on CashGames with stakes >50/100$ and with bankroll of 10000$.That is LOL from my point of view.Lot of new player sit on SPIN and Jackpot tables and lost everything in a second. Not on cash games and HU on higher stakes.Previous i was waiting few seconds on PS on limits 3.5 and 7$ on HU Sit and goes now i waiting 30 sec 4plaayers HU 1min previous max 10-15 sec.Big players on FT sit hours and hours with 50000$ on tables not playing with his comrades waiting for fishes with 50000$????why they dont reduce 1 HU on 2-7 with limit 1000/2000 and dont allow to generate another table if this one is full.then SallyWoo and trueteller siting in 6 tables waiting for fishes?who is the fish FT i think. Then the money.I think they have problem when two sharks goes on nosebleedes tables and one shark take 1milion from another CASHOUT FOR FT IS THE PROBLEM.that shark goes to Vegas or spend the money and that is bigest lost for FT not not GENERATED FEES AND TRAFIC.Than they decide G..T the F...O..T you and your big winings and loses.we earn 10000$ and y cashout 1000000 in a 5h of playing then we dont see y maybe 1month.That is the real true i think

Yep. A lot of players seem to have switched to the spin`n`go format tourneys. Even more action than cash games, and the promise of a big payout somewhere down the line. Tempting for the degens.

They want i supose to get fresh money from new players who will regruited from neebees and then when they grow up they will play on higher stakes on PS.Scout Regrut Center FT than PS.BUT... why they dont show up how they payout and how many players wins SPIN and Jacks with max price. They dont want to reduce speed of losing money for newbees because S an J are no TRANSPARENT they took some additional income of nonTransparent distributing of awords.Supose 100000 games on PS on 1$ generate 1 winer of 3000$ and y use 105000 games for one winer and y have 5000 x 2$ tables winers they will bring aditional aprox 5000$ NOTRANSPARENT FEES.SOOO THAT IS GOOD AND WHEN SALLYWOO CASHOUT 1000000$ NO.LOOOOOLLLZ

------------
I was remove some funds from PS to FT and i wait 2min on 0.5$ HU sit & go. but 5sec on 1$ Jackpot Sit&GO soo what are y talking mr Mansour.I am fish on FT no one knows me why some one avoid me 2 min.OK no trafic but so quick on Jacks Loool

Aaand they just become Unibet Poker.
There's really no good reason to not be able to choose table of your liking other than they want to make you loosing track about the limit/volume/amount of your playing time-stakes-opponents. It's ridiculous, it's bad, it's not for nobody with a brain.
Also getting rid of high stakes and stud games supposed to be excite players?
