Day 1A of the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event saw a field of 741 players (30 players less than last year) and approximately 480 made it through to Day 2, including notables such as Mike Matusow (88,225), Jonathan Duhamel (82,200), Fabian Quoss (80,100), David Bach (72,850), Abe Mosseri (72,350), Andy Black (53,850) and Max Pescatori (46,075).
Big names who weren't as fortunate to surive Day 1A include John Hennigan, Erik Seidel, Chris Klodnicki, Andy Bloch, Billy Baxter, and Barny Boatman - who was the first player on Day 1A to hit the rail after running into the pocket aces of Mohammed Ayyash.
William Kakon (right side in picture) bagged up the chip lead at the end of the day. Kakon eliminated Erik Lemarquand on one of the final hands of the night with nut flush and he will bring a stack of 152,325 to Day 2.
