Just as in the Super High Roller at the EPT Grand Final in May, Dzmitry Urbanovich once again fell one position short of winning a Super High Roller title in the EPT Barcelona Super High Roller, which concluded yesterday evening.
The Polish young gun entered heads-up against 2013 November Niner Sylvain Loosli with a slight chip deficit, but it didn't take belong before Loosli extended the gap to a 2-1 chip advantage. Loosli dominated the match until Dzmitry finally managed to double up with threes against KT.
The stacks were pretty even after that, though, it didn't take long before a big hand occured in which Loosli check-raised all-in on the river and left Urbanovich with 20 big blinds.
In the final hand, Loosli's pocket fives bested Urbanovich's jack-ten after both players went all in pre-flop. Urbanovich received €841,500 for his runner-up finish. This marked his 6th six-figure score of 2015 and brought his total earnings to $3.5 million (all but $160k from this year).
Sylvain Loosli received €1,224,000 for his victory. He's the first Frenchman to win an EPT Super High Roller! According to Hendon Mob, he now has $4.6 million in total live earnings. His best live cash was a 4th place finish in the 2013 Main Event for $2,792,533.
