Another day of the EPT Barcelona Main Event has come to an end. Approximately 360 of 1,700 entrants made it through to Day 3, and Nick Petrangelo (picture) bagged up the chip lead with 570k.
Petrangelo "only" had about 220k in the final level of the day, but things changed quickly when he busted Tonnie Krijn in one of the final hands of the night to pass Andre Akkari (543,300) and Amir Touma (543,900) at the the top of the leaderboard.
Petrangelo is having a great year on the tournament circuit. He has won a $5k side event at the PCA, two final tables in Monaco in May, and a bracelet at the 2015 World Series of Poker.
Other notables that will be back for Day 3 with big stacks include John Juanda (371,000), Dario Sammartino (335,400), Patrik Antonius (265,100), and Jens Kyllonen (214,000).
