Nominations for the 2015 Poker Hall of Fame (established in 1979, currently 48 members) closed on Tuesday... and here are the 10 finalists: John Juanda, Carlos Mortensen, Chris Bjorin, David Chiu, Terry Rogers, Matt Savage, Bruno Fitoussi, Jennifer Harman, Max Pescatori, and David "Devilfish" Ulliott.

Ulliott, who sadly passed away earlier this year, is one of four candidates to be nominated for the first time (the other three are Pescatori, Rogers, and Savage), while the other six have been nominated in the past - including Harman, Fitoussi, and Bjorin who all were among the 10 finalists last year.

The 23 living Hall of Fame members a 16-person media panel will now cast their votes of the final list of nominees to decide who will be inducted this year (one or two candidates will be picked). The official ceremony is to be held in conjuntion with the 2015 WSOP Main Event final table in November.

The main criteria for the Poker Hall of Fame are as follows:

♠ A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
♠ Played for high stakes
♠ Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
♠ Stood the test of time
♠ Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results.

I think it will be good if Dave Ulliott did make the hall of fame but maybe he is not so well known outside of the UK to the younger players.I don't think many people would complain if John Juanda made it either.

well deserved
one of the funniest poker players
he had the ability to make anyone tilt , even if it was Phil Ivey
trash talking is a part of poker whether we like it or not
besides he was an outstanding professional player with lots of talent and skill
may he rest in peace and hopefully he will be remembered in the hall of fame

I agreeon that Devilfish wins it, it would b a decent thing to do to accompany one player into history who is not longer here. Not aware of his success but im sure he dedicate his life to b at every tabel and hang out with good guys and enjoy this wonderful game. Peace im out. Thumbs Up

I like all kinds of literature but this time I really don't think so this fact will help him. He will probably get in sooner or later but I am not so sure about he will get in for the first try. But of course - who knows?

WHAT??? Jennifer Harman is not yet in it, she definitely has all the criteria but the fact that Devilfish recently passed away and also has the criteria then he'll be for sure introduced to the famous hall of fame...

I am not so sure about Jennifer Harman,I know she won quite a lot of money a long time ago and has had sporadic wins since then but she has also been involved in poker ventures that have not been successful.I would like to see devilfish win but I have a feeling he probably won't.
