Does this guy ever stop winning? Well, it clearly doesn't seem that way given that Steve O'Dwyer added yet another High Roller title to his poker resume on Monday! This time he outlasted a field of 15 of the world's best poker players in the 2016 Aussie Millions $250,000 Challenge!
Once the massive buy-in tournament was down to 4 players (top 3 players were supposed to get a slice of the massive prize pool), the remaining players agreed to chop the remaining pot - chip leader Conor Drinan locked up $1,021,909, Fabian Quoss $956,896, Steve O'Dwyer $951,960, and David Peters $889,236.
With nothing but the title left to play for it didn't take more than 2 hours before Steve O'Dwyer was the last man standing. In the final hand, both O'Dwyer and Peters made two pairs on a Q 6 3 10 7 board. The chips went into the middle of the table and O'Dwyer's Q 10 won against Peters' Q 7.
According to HighStakesDB, O'Dwyer has now won almost $15 million playing live tournaments - and more than half of that amount comes from the last 10 months!
