46 players (plus 15 re-entries) participated in The 2016 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller over the weekend. After eliminating Mustapha Kanit in second place with pocket queens vs pocket sevens, Ole Schemion was crowned the champion and received €1,547,800 in prize money.
"It's very sweet to win against Mustapha," Schemion said. "He's a very good friend of mine."
Schemion, a German poker pro with over $10 million in live tournament earnings, has taken a break from poker since the PokerStars Carribean Adventure (PCA) in January before entering and winning this massive buy-in tournament.
"I just wanted to take some time off and do something away from poker, so to come back and win the super high roller is really great," he said.
