Poker Pro Competed In MasterChef Season 7 Final

Who knew that WSOP bracelet winner David Williams could make it to the finale of the MasterChef Season 7 competition? British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay pointed out that it was the first time in MasterChef history that there will be a three-way battle for the coveted MasterChef title for this season.

However, on the finale episode that aired last Wednesday night, David missed out on the $250,000 grand prize, cookbook deal and the title of MasterChef. David faced off against Las Vegas DJ Shaun O'Neale and Kentucky school teacher Brandi Mudd.

David's cured salmon appetizer worked out well, but his main course with guinea hen didn't as the meat was undercooked. His dessert included gold popping candy which seemed to get overall strong reviews. However, it still wasn't enough as competitor Shaun's tart is "f***ing delicious" according to Ramsay.

In the end, Shaun O'Neale won, having had the best two (out of three) dishes overall.

David said, "I gave it everything I had, it just wasn't enough to win. I'm happy for my Vegas brother. He was the best on day 1.The best throughout the show and the best in the finale. Congrats."

He added, "Thank you Gordon Ramsay. It was an honor to cook for you and Christina Tosi and all the guest judges."

Unlucky to David Williams for not making the final but he should be very proud of his achievement. The standard on these shows is so high, so he must be one heck of a chef to get this far

One of the shows that i have never watched besides a couple of times.
On of the things that i keep wonder and never heard of, is how come no one so far
has punched or beat up that chef. In many occasions he deserves it.
But you never know Smile

certainly an interesting event ... but probably everyone should do what he is good at ... and not get involved in everything show for self-promotion .... of course this is only my opinion and maybe he really has a talent for cooking

Well done, David Williams.
His salmon appetizer looked so delectable, but it was the undercooked guinea hen that cost him a grand prize of a quarter million dollars. That was really disappointing. Good luck next time.

well i hope that this undercooked guinea hen doesn't come back to haunt poker pro david williams at the tables, he gave it all and no guinea hen, especially an undercooked guinea hen can spoil the party. on a side note- if it was a guinea pig instead of guinea hen, i'm sure he would've won.

WOW! How can you undercook such a tiny teeny weeny bird? It really amazes me how such talented people who profess to wanna be chefs, can get such a. Simple and basically straightforward task as cooking a baby chicken correctly wrong. Ah well. It's all in the name of entertainment and it will be a strong producer who has the balls to allow a contestant to put one on chef Ramsey!
