As expected, high-profile poker professionals are the target market for PokerStars new online high-stakes tournament called High Rollers, and the emerging winners so far are ones that anyone at the poker community know very well about.
The very first event or High Rollers 01, $1M Gtd on November 26, 2017 (Sunday) according to the schedule seen at the PokerStars site, has been won by none other than Germany's Fedor ‘CrownUpGuy' Holz!
The prize pool in Event 1 is a whopping $1M!
Most people know the 24-year-old Holz for his live poker successes, where he currently accumulated an awesome $26,548,871 in winnings so far, but the poker superstar is also extremely versed in the world of online poker, and this latest win in the PokerStars High Rollers tournament is just proof he's no fluke no matter which stage he's playing at, whether it be live or online.
Under his all-too-familiar moniker ‘CrownUpGuy', Holz battled his way through a field of 442 players, finally defeating ‘88maca88' from Argentina on a heads-up match to secure the top prize of $178,498. The final hand saw Holz shove the river, and unfortunately for ‘88maca88' who just got top pair, Holz revealed he had turned a full house!
Of course, prestigious poker events definitely attract the best of the best in the industry, but unfortunately, only 55 persons won a part of the $1 million prize pool. The only one from Team PokerStars who made it into the money was Igor ‘IgorKurganov' Kurganov, who settled in 25th place for $8,173.
