Daniel Weinmann Wins Record WPT Borgata Winter Open Championship

Atlanta poker pro Daniel Weinmann won his first World Poker Tour title last Friday (on his birthday) after outlasting a record-field of 1,312 entries in the Season XV WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open $3,500 Championship to win $892,433 and a $15,000 seat into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions .

"I turned 29 today, so this is a pretty awesome birthday present," a smiling Weinman told WPT reporters following his victory. "My girlfriend flew in last minute. You couldn't have scripted it any better."

Weinmann has been playing poker for eight years and is a regular on the tournament circuit. Thanks to his latest victory, he passed the $2 million mark in live tournament earnings.

"It's huge," Weinman told the WPT when asked what the title meant to him. "I don't play a ton of tournaments outside of the World Series, so to come here and win a field this big and a prestigious tournament as this is great."

3rd: Tyler Kenney - $327,578
4th: Jia Liu - $275,081
5th: Richard Foster - $228,884
6th: Nicholas Immekus - $184,787

*First-prize amount includes a $15,000 seat into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.

he made a nice birthday present for himself with that win.
Almost 900k for the 3.5k he put in.
Not bad at all. Doing good also in live tournament winnings.
If he is doing that good playing online also, he must be very happy Smile

birthday he opened luck and he could do everything he wanted .. of course very cool that he did it on his birthday ... I think it's well-deserved achievement because he is a good player and when he had to do it .. . why not on his birthday

Yes he is really successful persoon, luck wa s with him and helped when he really needed most. To win such big money like 900000 is really great and I think he is feeling super amazing and he is still young so maybe evn more bug wins are still in front of him, some people are really lucky and it's good for them

OMG!!! i cannot believe that Daniel Weinmann WPT Borgata Winter Open Championship, if Nicolas Immekus or Nathan Bjerno, heck even Jia Liu was the winner of WPT Borgata Winter Open Championship then that would make sense, but Daniel Weinmann... no , just no...

true words bowie, true words... the essence of the making sense thingy is actually the total reincarnation of the viewing angles that correspond with the level of sense that is being generated by the eternal question whether the sense that is made is actually the sense that was intended to be made in the first place?

Thank you pochui for telling me how to write well, I am not very good in writing in english but i try to do my best. With time I hope i will get better and better and i eill be feeling sper dooper amazing then I hope. Maybe i will win 900000 too like Daniel Weinmann and be evn happier with this
