Isaac Haxton, one of the world's most respected poker players, has partnered with partypoker. Haxton joins an elite team of ambassadors including Fedor Holz, Sam Trickett, Patrick Leonard and Jason Koon, amongst others, and will help facilitateopen and effective communication channels between partypoker and the players.

Haxton, who hails from Syracuse, New York, will play a key role in partypoker's efforts to work closely with the poker player community. Haxton, who has won more than $15 million on the live poker circuit and many more millions online, will also wear the partypoker patch at forthcoming live events including the MILLIONS Grand Final in Barcelona.

Haxton was introduced to mind sports by his English professor father and was playing chess by the age of four. He took up Magic the Gathering at the age of ten and thenmade the move to poker once he turned 18. It was while studying computer science at Brown University that he started taking poker more seriously. After a couple of lucrative summers, he decided to turn pro and in 2007, he made his first foray into the live tournament arena and enjoyed a sensational result when he was runner-up to Ryan Daut in the Caribbean for $861,789.

His incredible career achievements since then include more than 30 six-figure cashes and he is currently ranked 22nd on the global all-time money list. In the last three months alone he has won more than $1.2 million including a fourth place finish in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic Super High Roller for $390,000 in November.

Haxton said: "I am very excited to be joining the partypoker team. I've been very impressed with their growth over the last year or so. From expanding their online cash game and tournament offerings, to improving their software, and most of all rolling out their ambitious and innovative live events program, their commitment to growing the game and providing a great product for their players has been clear. I'm truly proud to represent the company, which I believe is going to be the future of poker, online and live."

partypoker Managing Director Tom Waters added: "We are delighted that Isaac is joining us at partypoker. Isaac's profile and experience makes him a perfect ambassador for the company. Over the years he has also demonstrated a real commitment to principles and will play a key role in helping us meet and exceed player expectations. We are in the process of building a poker site for the players and Isaac will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our goals"

more VIP Pokerstars have given up working with them or the contracts have not been renewed because isildur1 he had signed with unibet, another with 888 poker, now Isaac Haxton with Party poker and things will get worse for jokerstars. Cool his means having a very bad loyalty strategy but good job for party poker

I've read somewhere several months ago that Mike Sexton, Partypoker CEO, decided to beat Pokerstars at the market and make Partypoker #1 poker room in the world. Now we see PP's another step in that way. Good luck to them, Pokerstars occupies the throne too long!

The Partypoker team is growing better and stronger and yes as mentioned above, their aim is to indeed beat PS to become world number 1 at the market. Well time will tell us if it will be the case...

I wondered where this guy would end up once he left Stars. Now we have the answer. Haxton is an online legend and one of the best poker minds out there. I look forward to following his exploits.

Party Poker trying to become the number one in the world. Is a good thing but they have no license in all European countries. To get to the top position they need to buy licenses in more countries and players will come. I hope they will buy in my country because it is a good room.
