Good news partypoker fans! partypoker is bringing back their highly popular televised high-stakes cash game, The Big Game, and this time with a new feature, the €50/€100 PLO edition, streamed live on February 10 to 12 at Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
partypoker's The Big Game is considered as one of the most famous televised cash games in the world, and now it returns next month featuring its first ever Pot Limit Omaha edition. The eight-handed €50/€100 PLO game is scheduled during the €12.5 million guaranteed MILLIONS Germany series at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
The cash game shall run for 36 hours straight, starting February 10 Saturday at 6pm and ending February 12 Monday at 6am. The minimum buy-in for it is €20,000 and the maximum is €40,000.
According to their blog, a number of the best players in the industry including top poker pros and businessmen are expected to appear. Some of the names include: actress and WSOP Ladies Event winner Jennifer Tilly, successful businessman Yair "The Wolf" Bitoun, Dusk till Dawn owner Rob Yong, and of course partypoker Ambassador Sam Trickett. International poker prodigies Phil Laak, Philipp Gruissem, and Viktor Blom will also be there, and let's not forget the person who's been a key element in gathering up a huge following of viewers to The Big Game, and that is 44-year-old Lithuanian poker pro-turned-politician Antanas "Tony G" Guoga.
In fact, previous big winners in The Big Game series include Roger Hairabedian, Tilly, Laak, and Tony G, and all of them are excited to be back and have the chance to add to those wins this time at King's Casino.
One factor that makes The Big Game absolutely unique is that it has an online qualifier in which a player can only get into the game by winning the partypoker Big Game Challenge. The competition for this lucrative seat and the package which is worth $270000+ shall run at partypoker online from January 25 to February 4. The lucky winner will get to enjoy the package that includes:
- $20,000 Big Game buy-in
- $5,300 MILLIONS Online entry
- €1,100 MILLIONS Open entry
- 5 nights' accommodation
- $900 for travel and expenses
The livestream viewers shall also get the chance to get involved because partypoker is bringing back their vote-off, a feature of the original game. Every three hours, viewers can vote on their favorite player, and the one who gets the highest number of votes as well as the most aggressive player shall have immunity from getting evicted. The player who unfortunately gets the lowest number of votes shall be kicked out of the game and will be replaced by new players.
Aside from the new PLO edition, they are also adding a new feature called the ‘party button booster'. According to partypoker, anyone "who draws the button in the first hand places a dead big blind on the button, and every player continues to add a big blind to the button booster when it is their button until the button wins the hand in which case they win the button booster. When it is won the booster then reverts to one big blind put in by the next player on the button."
Here's what some of the players say as they look forward to the upcoming PLO edition of partypoker's The Big Game:
Jennifer Tilly: "Superstoked to be returning to The Big Game! Looking forward to mixing it up with the notorious Tony G!"
Sam Trickett said, "I'm really looking forward to the return of the Big Game," Trickett said. "It's always huge fun to play - even if you don't win - and I'm looking forward to testing my PLO skills against the likes of Isildur and Tony G. The Big Game is also a great opportunity for an online qualifier to take on the best in the game and maybe even win. This is one of the most popular poker shows on TV so it's a high profile event and will be a very exciting part of the MILLIONS Germany schedule in Rozvadov."
Tony G's confidence is evident as he said, "I am going to take everything they have - and then more!"
King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik was very proud to become host to the event, "King's is well known for its variety of cash games but this televised Big Game will surely be the longest we've ever had here. We look forward to welcoming everybody to our new casino and hotel."
