Kenneth Kee came so close in taking down the first event of the 2018 Triton Poker High Roller Series Jeju on July 25, and he only finished as runner-up when he lost in a heads-up match against Nick Schulman in the HK$100,000 short-deck NLHE event. However, Kee didn't lose hope, because a week later he found himself in the same spot again, this time against Cary Katz at the HK$1,000,000 Short Deck NLHE event, and this one was truly meant for him as he won to take home the colossal first-place cash prize worth HK$22,500,000 (or around USD 2,925,000).

The event attracted 60 player entries, with a buy-in of around USD127,000 each.

Ivan Leow, the winner of the HK$500,000 short deck event just days earlier, was sent home in 6th place by Kee. After that, Kee made a double knockout with his twin Ace as he got himself in a three-way all-in with Mikita Badziakouski holding twin Kings and Peter Jetten with twin Queens. Kee's hand ended up as the strongest one, putting Badziakouski in 5th place and Jetten in 4th.

Kee continued his killer streak by busting Richard Yong in third place, acquiring a 3-to-1 lead as he got into a heads-up showdown with Cary Katz. In the final hand, the American poker pro moved his final chips in with J-10 and was quickly called by Kee's twin Queens. The board revealed K-9-7-6-K, thereby making Kee the top winner of this event.

He didnt manage to get the first tournament, not thet he didnt win enough money there, and then he managed to get the first prize for almost three millions.
The buy in was high though with that 127k USD it had.

Many congratulations to Kenneth Kee on winning this event and the $2,925,000 first prize. This result is even more remarkable because, just last week, he finished second in a similar event
