There will be a total of nine online bracelet events to be held for this year’s World Series of Poker, though it’s not yet confirmed whether players from New Jersey can join the poker festival.
The World Series of Poker held its very first gold bracelet online event back in 2015. Since then, there’s a total of nine bracelets and over $10M in prize money that have been awarded to players on WSOP.com. It was announced yesterday (February 21) that there will be nine bracelets up for grabs this 2019 WSOP.
From June 3rd to July 14th, a gold bracelet shall be awarded for online players participating each and every Sunday, with two extra online bracelet events scheduled on two Wednesdays, June 19 and July 3.
WSOP.com’s head of online poker Bill Rini said, “Just like the land-based WSOP, the annual summer series is also the best time for online poker players in the U.S. to chase big prize pools and WSOP gold bracelets. WSOP.com is offering a consistent gold bracelet schedule this year, plus non-stop satellites to both the online and live events, giving players the best opportunity to participate in the 50th Annual WSOP.”
The online WSOP events have varying formats and price brackets, with buy-ins ranging from as little as $400 to as high as $3,200.
Aside from their biggest-ever lineup of online bracelet events, WSOP.com shall also become host to many satellites into live WSOP tournaments. Around 2,968 WSOP seats have been given away to lucky players via WSOP.com so far which includes 321 Main Event seats, and this time they’re planning to roll out nonstop satellite offers beginning February 21.
The marquee satellite event is the $215 buy-in“25 Seat Scramble”, an event starting at 4pm PT on June 30 that will reward at least 25 seats into the WSOP Main Event.
Satellites start right now on WSOP.com. Check out their lobby to see all options. A wide variety of satellites from $1 to $30 are offered regularly to qualify for the official WSOP gold bracelet event.
According to the WSOP.com press release, “To participate on WSOP.com, players must be 21 years of age, and physically inside the borders of an eligible state. You do not have to be a resident of the state to register for play or participate, but all game action must be done while inside state borders. It is important to note the following in regards to WSOP.com online play:
- Players must be physically inside the borders of an eligible state at the time of the tournament.
- Pot-Limit Omaha events are not available on mobile version of software
- Tournament tickets cannot be used for re-entry
- Tournament tickets cannot be used for Knockout bounty tournaments
- Players have 30 seconds to re-enter re-entry events and must have enough funds in their account to do so at the time of re-entry.”
As to whether or not New Jersey-based online poker players will be allowed to join in on the gold bracelet events this year from their home state, this matter has not yet been finalized.
The 2019 World Series of Poker runs from May 28 to July 16, 2019 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This year is also WSOP’s 50th anniversary.
