After a total of five days of play which involved a tough 6-man final table action that transpired for 14 hours, a winner has finally emerged, and it was Canadian poker player Francois Billard.

2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North America Main Event

  • CAD$10,300 buy-in, $5M guaranteed
  • Dates: May 13 to 26, 2019
  • Venue: Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada

The 2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North America CAD$10,300 NLHE Main Event had a total of 521 players signed up, thereby exceeding the CAD$5 million guarantee by over CAD$200,000.

The man from Montreal scooped up CAD$961,400 (or USD $715,414), currently his biggest live tournament win in his poker journey. His total live earnings are now $2,908,348 according to The Hendon mob.

The fifth and last day of the event commenced with only 6 players left, with Kevin Rabichow in the chip lead with more than 110 blinds, while Billard had the second biggest stack at 90 big blinds.

Rabichow sent Danick Landriault to the rail so he settled at 6th place for USD$186,035.

The remaining five players battled it out for 140 hands in about 6 hours. The second knockout came from Billard, who sent Fontan into 5th place for USD$223,241.

A few hands later into three-handed play, Billard was leading with over half the chips in his possession. Following a dinner break, the three pros struck a deal to split most of the remaining prize money, leaving approximately CAD$212,370 (USD$158,000) in play for the top winner.

Jouhkimainen had to settle for third place when his Q-6 was bested by Billard’s A-J.

The final two-man showdown was between Kevin Rabichow and Francois Billard, with the latter having a chip advantage of 2.5-to-1. They did their best to outwit each other for 37 hands until the final hand came up.

Rabichow had J-10

Billard got 10-9

The board ran K-9-8-10-6, making Billard the last man standing for this event.

Billard believed he won thanks to his aggressive play during the final table. He said, “Maybe I pushed the action a little too much at times, so I don’t know if it was the right strategy, but it worked out in the end.”

in it for the buy in.
A long tournament also, that lasted for five days with only the final table,
lasting for fourteen hours.

We always talk about the winners bot nobody talks about those who lost. How disappointed they are. I mean those who paid the entrance with the money down, not about the players who entered with the satellites. It's hard or easy for they to lose that amount? About the winner is very happy now and the others who had good profit same.

Of course, the output fee for the game in this tournament was quite large .... more than $ 10,000 ... but there was a great chance .... this man was lucky ... and his poker game was the strongest in this tournament .... 10,000 dollars to win almost a million dollars is certainly a wonderful win .. very cool

I would like players who lose and win nothing to be interviewed to find out their opinions. When a player win, we all know what's going on but the stories of those who lose are rarely found. This is the reason for which i am curious to find out their opinions.

Congratulations to the Canadian Francois Billard for winning the main partypoker event "MILLIONS" and for having taken a beautiful pot of $ 961,400 that would not be too small for me, but God willing that one day I will be given an opportunity to win something. similar Cool Cool Cool

This is a real tournament. Too much money and almost a million of dolars for 1st place. It is a different final table with many Europeans and Canadians and only one north american even if the tournament was played in Sua. Anyway this game was nice.

Of course, there should be a tournament for cool players who can afford a lot of entry fees with a probability to win a huge prize .... but there should also be tournaments for ordinary players who bet small and, therefore, the winnings are not very big .... of course It is interesting to watch for major tournaments .... but but I understand that for me this is unattainable

Well, I think that anyone has the opportunity, only that the only thing that sometimes prevents us from being able to participate in events like these in the economic issue, nothing more ... besides playing something like that, I think it would be useful for anyone to be able to be with some more expert players or with more years in the game Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

Sometimes the Americans have good games with a lot of money and is not playing in Las Vegas. About that there are many powerful cities in the USA like New York, Chicago, Washington etc ... which could form more good tournaments per year Many people would like this.
