The 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event started on July 7, 2012 with 6,598 players each putting up $10,000 to create a $62,031,385 prize pool. Today, after about a 3 month break, the final nine players ("The October Nine") will meet again at the Rio in Las Vegas and fight for the remaining $27,285,025 in prize money and, of course, the world champion title!

The Main Event attracted 6,598 players (from 82 different countries, aged from 21 to 92) this year. Now, after that Day 1 a b c, Day 2 a b c, Day 3,4,5,6 & 7 have been completed, only 9 players remain and have the chance of winning the gold coveted bracelet and the $8.5 million first-place prize!

It came to be the Hungarian Andras Koroknai who took home the WPT LA Poker classic. Andras Koroknai dominated the final table, and when it was time for heads-up, he had a lead with 13,450,000 against his final opponent Raymond Dolan's 1,450,000 stack. With blinds of 75,000 - 150,000 (25,000 ante) it was just a matter of time before Raymond was forced to move all in and try to double up before his stack would be gone. And as expected, it all came to an end straight away

Andras Koroknai moved all in from the button, and Raymond Dolan called with Q[c] 4[h]. Koroknai flipped over Q[h] 8[h].
