Check out the video below from the 2008 WSOP Main Event ($10,000 buy-in) in which the hobby player Mabuchi flops trips aces against the pro Justin Phillips. On turn Mabuchi hits the last ace in the deck and gets 4 of a kind. However, what looks like an amazing hand is just a setup and probably the worst bad beats in WSOP history...

Two Bad Beat Jackpots in two days

According to Microgaming Poker Network, they recently paid out two Bad Beat Jackpots in two days. The first one was on Saturday the 12th of February. A Nordicbet Poker player was sitting with a four of a kind of 10's and lost against a Royal Flush. Losing the call, the player still earned $195,404 from his 10's.

The player explained, "I knew that my Four of a Kind Tens weren’t enough to beat my opponent’s Royal Flush, although when I looked moments later I saw notification of my win and realised that I had hit the Bad Beat Jackpot, and start screaming! I still can’t believe I won and now I think it’s time to relax before taking my place back at the poker table.”

The second Bad Beat Jackpot was on the following day, February 13th. The six players that was involved got a share of $79,985.

According to Microgaming, this was the only time up to date that the Bad Beat Jackpot was won twice in two days.
