About a month has pasted since the 2010 WSOP Main Event, the last event at the 2010 World Series of Poker, went on a break in wait for the final table that will be played in November. Tomorrow it's finally time for the first stop on the 2010/2011 WSOP Circuit. The first stop on the tour will take place at Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Iowa and after that there are another 12 stops scheduled. One of these stops will take place in October outside the U.S. - Emerald Casino in South Africa.
However, according to the WSOP Circuit crew, there might even be more stops added to the tour. New for this season is that there will be a big final at Caesars Palace in April next year. One can qualify for this final, for example, via a new ranking system that was introduced this year.

Caesars Palace, Harrahs casino rio, las vegas, Terrance Watanabe
Posted on Monday, June 07, 2010 by "T". |
The businessman Terrance Watanabe has lost more money at a commercial casino than anyone else has ever done before - according to professor and gambling expert William Thompson at University of Nevada. As you probably already have figured out, it's not small amounts we're talking about here. Terrance Watanabe has lost $204 million in just 1 year at different casinos in Las Vegas. Not enough with that. Terrance is now also risking 28 years behind bars for a false check he issued, in order to pay off his debts of 14.7 million dollars, to Harrah's casino Rio and Caesars Palace.
According to Terrance, he's not owe them anything as they had promised to give him a 30% discount on everything he lost. Terrance has also opened a civil rights case against Harrah's. He claims that they have been giving him prescription drugs, alcohol and other things to keep him happy while losing millions of dollars. However, he has accepted the fact that he has a problem with his gambling and he doesn't want any of the money he lost back.
We will probably hear more about this very soon as the case will be up in court on the 12th of June.
