The $10,000 buy-in event attracted 157 entries who battled it out over three days of play. The total prize pool amounted to $1,4,75,800 and 9 of the 18 players who cashed had won WSOP gold in the past.
On Monday, a 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing $420,000 in casino chips from poker pro Matt Kirk's Los Angeles apartment in January, 2015. Dustin Campbell was arrested at his home in Illinois with $40,000 in cash and $20,000 in casino chips on him.
Daniel Alaei was unstoppable when the final day of the tournament started. He took the chip lead straight away (from being in the middle of the 17 remaining players) and never let go of it. For the win he received almost half a million dollars and also his second WSOP bracelet.
