The action on PokerStars' nosebleed tables has slowed down quite a bit since Full Tilt Poker reopened for business. However there were some pretty nice $200/$400 PLO ring games running there on Monday with Ilari Sahamies, Sam Tricket, Barcode and other regulars in the centre of the action. Barcode, whose identity is unknown, ended up as Monday's biggest winner with a $232.6k profit. Most of the profit came from a $282k pot - that could have been a $680k pot. Ilari Sahamies winning spree ain't over yet. On Monday, he played against Jeans89, Skjervoy, patpatman, barcode and other regulars. He won $90k playing $100/$200 PLO, $34k from a six-handed session of $50/$100 PLO, and about $324k from 2 three hour sessions at the $200/$400 PLO tables.

In total, Sahamies won $450,000 on Monday and is now up over $2.6 million in the past 7 days. Just a week ago he was down about $1.4 million, now he's up $1.25 million this year. According to highstakesdb, Sahamies is the second biggest winner at PokerStars with over $3.44 million won since they started tracking in 2010.

It's not a secret that Ilari Sahamies, 2011's biggest winner on PokerStars, has been struggling very hard this year. However, the Finnish poker pro started an amazing winning streak last Monday and had turned -$1.4 million into a $900k profit for the year on Sunday evening.

In total, he won $2.2 million last week and the biggest chunk of those winnings ($777.5k) came from different PLO sessions on Saturday against barcode, Odd_Oddsen, bernard_bb and other regulars at PokerStars' nosebleed tables.

Day 4 of the EPT Barcelona main event just came to an end with 24 survivors. Samuel Rodiguez, who started the day with the 2nd largest stack, is now in a big lead with 5,330,000. Antonin Duda, who lead the way into Day 4 with 1.47 million chips, is also alive, but he has dropped to 4th possition with 2,054,000 chips.

Notables such as John Juanda, Ilari Sahamies and PokerStars Team SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo will also return to play today with hopes of making it to the final table, where some serious cash is up for grabs. The next 8 players to hit the rail will receive €29,400 each, which is nothing compared to the money that is up for grabs on the final table. For example: the winner of the tournament will get €1,007,550, the runner-up gets €629,700 and a 3rd place finish pays €404,050.

The action has been great almost every single day at PokerStars nosebleed tables these past 2 weeks or so. Yesterday was no different as Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond, Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Ilari Sahamies battled it out at the $200/$400 PLO tables for about 6 hours. Galfond and Sahamies dominated the play and ended up as the biggest winners of the session. In total, Sahamies netted $416k and Galfond $442k.

After 3 days of play, PokerStars' European Poker Tour Barcelona main event player field has been narrowed down from 1082 players to only 61. Day 4 will begin in a few hours with Antonio Duda as the chip leader (1.47 million), closely followed by Samuel Rodriquez (1,141,600). In third place is no one else other than the Finnish high-stakes guru Ilari Sahamies with 1,269,000 chips, followed by John Juanda (968k) and Fatima Moreira de Melo (955k) in 4th and 5th place, so expect Day 4 to be something special! 

All of the remaining players are guaranteed to walk away with €11,550 each. The 9 players who make it to the final table will be guaranteed at least €55,100 each. However, no one will probably be happy with that amount since the first prize is an astounding €1,007,550!

There was some really nice action on PokerStars nosebleed tables yesterday, and Finland's very own Ilari Sahamies ended up as the biggest winner of the day. The Finnish poker pro Ilari Sahamies has been running extremely well in the past few days. Last Saturday he scored a $367k profit, and two days later he walked away with a $444 profit in just under 600 hands. After these two sessions, Ilari was up about $50,000 on PokerStars this year. However, it doesn't seem like the winning streak is over yet as he won another $181k last night...

Most of these winnings came from a two-hour session on a $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha table against regulars such as Bernsden12, Phisherman32 & Theo J. In total, the Finnish poker guru played for about four hours yesterday, and he took down the 3rd and 4th biggest pots of the day on PokerStars.

Sam Trickett received the Player of the Year award at European Poker Awards in Paris, France the other day. Trickett started 2011 by winning and coming second in two Aussie Millions high roller events. Then it didn't take long before he to won the prestigious Partocuhe Poker Tour main event. In other words, a fantastic year for him!

The Russian poker pro Andrew Pateychuck became 2011's rookie thanks to winning both an EPT and a WPT title in just 1,5 month. And not to forget his 5th place finish in the WSOP main event.

It's high time to take a look at the high stakes results of 2011. The Scandinavian poker players dominated the nosebleed tables at PokerStars. In fact, 3 of the top 4 players of 2011 come from Finland and Sweden. Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, from Sweden, won amazing $1.5 million and ended up as the third biggest winner. Patrik Antonius and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies, both from Finland, played an action-filled (but short) heads-up the other day that thousands of people watched on PokerStars. Sahamies, who's one of the biggest winners this year, took the command almost straight away and totally dominated against his fellow country men. In fact, he took every single cent from Antonius account - about 190k US dollars - and the game was over.

Well, not for Sahamies. Instead of enjoying the win and eating some Christmas turkey, Sahamies continued playing at PokerStars nosebleed tables. Unfortunately things didn't go so well from there on but still he got away with a profit of about $144k for the day.

The Finnish poker pro Ilari Sahamies has been doing extremely well at PokerStars high stakes tables lately. In a little bit more than a week's time he has won more than $1 million dollars. In total, he's up about 2.3 million this year - the highest total anyone has reached this year in the high stakes scene (according to different results tracking sites).

One of his best sessions this year came on Tuesday night at the $200/$400 PLO tables. Well, on one table he lost around $120k, but that didn't stop him from winning amazing $535k on another table - in just a few hours. It was a well- deserved profit for our favorite Finn.

The Finnish poker pro Illari Sahamies has done it again. At Grand Casino in Baden, Germany, he once again made the biggest mistake a poker player can do - drink alcohol and play for high stakes. According to rumors, 16 players took part in the game where hundreds of thousands of euro changed owner, and Sahamies was so drunk that he barely could stand up. Apart of that, he called his opponents "retard, "monkey", "idiot" and other rude things. However, it's not clear whether he lost or won any money that night.

Ilari Sahamies had a fantastic week and almost everything went his way. At the of the week Sahamies booked a profit of $565,272 - another well-neded win for him! It's high time to take a look at last week's online cash game results. We're not used to Ilari Sahamies on the TOP 5 winners list but very often on the TOP 5 losers list. Well, last week he was doing extremely well for once. In total, he won $816,812 last week and not to forget that he took down the biggest pot ever played at PokerStars.

Another Finnish poker player that did well last week was Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen who won $281,862 - more than enough to secure a 3rd place on the winners list. Players that didn't do so well last week were Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, Andreas "Skjervoy" Torbergsen. According to Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies latest blog update, it seems like he hasn't lost as much money as many poker sites have claimed in the past few months. We have heard of figures between 2-5 million dollars, but according to Ziigmund, who partly admits that he has lost a lot of money because of playing bad, he has lost about $1 million dollars. If this is true, it probably means that Ziigmund has been successful in different live games and maybe he's also playing with fake aliases on different poker sites?

The Finnish poker pro Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies started 2010 with a few winning sessions and it looked very good for a while. But suddenly the poker gods turned against him and since then he has lost big almost every single month.

However, it didn't take long before he started to lose big again. $311,000 is how much Ziigmund lost last week, which means that he has lost almost $1.7 million in October. Most of this money came from a thrilling heads-up battle against finnish poker star Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies at a $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha table. Four of the pots in this session topped the $275,000 mark, durrrr won all of them, including a monster pot of $416,996.

The past week has been very quite at the higher stakes on many poker sites. Its seems like even poker players need a break once in a while. Yesterday night, however, it was finally time for some action at Full Tilt poker as one of Finlands biggest pros Ilari Sahmies and the American high stakes king Tom Dwan were about to play for some serious cash.

Tom "durrrrr" Dwan took the command straight away and showed Sahmies why he's one of the worlds best high stakes players. Tom Dwan took down 6 of 8 of the biggest pots and was up around $1 milllion for a while. After this, we saw a new Sahamies who played much better and more focused as he managed to take back around $340k in no-time. Tom Dwan is now up around $2 million dollars this month. It must feel really great for Dwan to eliminate some of the loses he had in November when he lost more than 6 million dollars.

Last week one could read on Ilari Sahamies blog that things are not going his way at the moment. For example he complained a lot about himself being unlucky, but also that he played very bad. All this because he lost 1.4 million dollars (400k of them coin flips) in two hours against Phil Ivey. After this huge loss he wrote the following in the poker chat about his scheduled trip to London to play EPT and WSOPE.

However, according to what he wrote in his blog, it seems like he's still planning on going to London.

Last week was a great week for some high stakes players from Finland. However, the most successful of those were Patrik Antonius who won over a million dollars, and his fellow countryman, Ilari Sahamies, who won close to half a million dollars. Most of the money Antonius won came from the American pro Tom "durrr" Dwan. Tom "durrr" Dwan came to be the biggest loser last week with around $900,000 lost. But as we all know, that is not an amount that Tom Dwan will cry so much over.

Another poker player that lost a lot of money last week was "Martonas", or the "unknown Swede" as many people call him. It seems like "Martonas" has given up playing on the highest stakes at Full Tilt poker. Because lately he can be found on the lower stakes at Full Tilt. Probably he has realized that he can't afford the enormous swings, or just think its easier making money on the lower stakes?
