Microgaming to Make a Comeback in Poker on December 1st

At the end of October, just as they've won the EGR Italy Awards 2020 for Best Casino Platform Supplier and Software Supplier, Microgaming has announced they are making a comeback in poker.

The new poker game is called Hold'Em Poker which will debut on December 1st for select Microgaming customers and then release worldwide on December 9th across the company's network of partner operators.

Microgaming Poker Network to Shut Down in 2020

On Friday, September 20, well-known online gaming software provider Microgaming has announced that it has come to a decision to shut down in 2020 the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), one of the first and most popular online poker operators.

According to the press release on their site, Microgaming officials stated that since the online poker network is no longer viable, then it will be closed down come next year. There was no specific date revealed regarding the closure of the network, but it is expected to happen during the second quarter of 2020.

Soon Possible To Regularly Change Your Poker Alias On Microgaming Poker Sites

From September 22nd onwards, all players of the Microgaming Network (MPN) will be able to change their tables names every 30 days or after 1000 real money hands (whichever comes first). According to PokerFuse, the new software feature will be available sooner than that on some sites, but it will be available on all poker sites by the end of this month.

Mircrogaming announces a €750,000 guarantee tournament

On Sunday Microgaming (poker network) throws a tournament with a €750,000 guaranteed prize pool (buy-in €300+€20). It's the old €500,000 tournament that has gotten its prize pool boosted with €250,000 or 50% extra. That Microgaming with such a short notice add so much money to a single tournament doesn't come as a surprise. Just like many other poker sites/networks, Microgaming are now taking up the fight for the tournament players since Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars were forced to reduce the guarantees in their biggest Sunday tournaments.

Two Bad Beat Jackpots in two days

According to Microgaming Poker Network, they recently paid out two Bad Beat Jackpots in two days. The first one was on Saturday the 12th of February. A Nordicbet Poker player was sitting with a four of a kind of 10's and lost against a Royal Flush. Losing the call, the player still earned $195,404 from his 10's.

The player explained, "I knew that my Four of a Kind Tens weren’t enough to beat my opponent’s Royal Flush, although when I looked moments later I saw notification of my win and realised that I had hit the Bad Beat Jackpot, and start screaming! I still can’t believe I won and now I think it’s time to relax before taking my place back at the poker table.”

The second Bad Beat Jackpot was on the following day, February 13th. The six players that was involved got a share of $79,985.

According to Microgaming, this was the only time up to date that the Bad Beat Jackpot was won twice in two days.
