World tennis number one and PokerStars Team SportStars member Rafael Nadal, 27, will play his first-ever live poker tournament next month! According to PokerStars, The 13-time Grand Slam champion will participate in a charity tournament on December 12 in conjunction with European Poker Tour's stop in Prague, Czech Republic.

To all tennis and/or PokeStars fans out there (in case you missed it), there's new advert with tennis pro and Team PokerStars SportStar Rafael Nadal on youtube! In the advert Rafa (lying in a bathtub) is playing heads up against 2009 pillow fight runner-up Lucia Arroyo and picks up two aces only to run into Arroyo's three of a kind queens. The advert will hit TV screens around the world over the next couple of weeks.

Team PokerStars SportStar Rafael Nadal played his first real-money tournament over the weekend at the brand new Spanish Championship of Online Poker (ESCOOP). Yesterday PokerStars announced an exciting new promotion that gives players the chance to play tennis and poker against Rafael Nadal. Between September 24 and October 2, there will be freerolls (Rafa Dream Day) five times per day, plus $1.10 qualifiers available every 2 hours around the clock.

The winner of each free roll and the top three players in the $1.10 qualifier will win a seat in the final that takes place on Oct. 21 at 12:00 ET. The winner of the final will meet Rafa in Spain, play tennis with him, and receive poker lessons from his personal poker coach. All players finishing in places 2-31 will received a signed baseball cap.

In case you missed it: Tennis pro Rafael Nadal recently joined PokerStars Team SportStars. Rafa has won 11 Grand Slam titles so far, with his most recent win being the 2012 French Open. However, he will not take part in the London Olympics because of continuing knee problems. PokerStars Pro Victoria Coren had a chat with with Nadal about poker and tennis.
