The World Series of Poker (WSOP) shall once again make a stop at the Los Angeles' Bicycle Hotel & Casino this coming December, with a 12-event series, featuring a $1,675 buy-in main event. The 12-event series starts off December 1 with a $365 buy-in no-limit hold'em event with a $50K guarantee.

WSOP Circuit Expands Outside The U.S.

On Thursday, The World Series of Poker announced that it has begun entering into agreements with casinos/poker rooms in Italy, Morocco and Mexico to expand its WSOP Circuit. Marrakech, one of Morocco's largest cities, will host the first international Circuit event from March 7th to March 15th, 2015 at Casino de Marrakech Es Saadi (picture).

WSOP Circuit: Jonathan Gaviao Wins Harrah's Tunica Main Event

On Monday evening, Jonathan Gaviao was crowned the champion of Harrah's Tunica Main Event, the 13th stop on the 2013/2014 World Series of Poker Circuit. Gaviao, a 23-year-old College Station, Texas resident, bested a field of 577 entries to lay hands on $181,757 in prize money, his first gold ring and a seat in the National Championship.

"It's wonderful," he said. "It's always nice to win a ring and make a little bit of money. I couldn't ask for anything more."

Poker Amateur Turns $180 Satellite into $286k in Canada's First Ever WSOP Circuit Series

Canada's first ever WSOP Circuit Main Event (The River Rock Main Event) is now in the history books. John Crncic, a poker amateur from Vancouver who won his seat through a $180 satellite, ended up taking home the whole thing for $286,382, a WSOP circuit gold ring, and a free seat in the $1 million National Championship. Apart from those amazing prizes, Crncic's boss promised him to pay the buy-in to the 2013 WSOP Main event if he won. Crncic assured the WSOP that his boss was a man of his word.

"I'm afraid I'm going to wake up and it's going to just be a dream," Crncic told the WSOP following his win. "It's absolutely fantastic. This is much more than I hoped for."

Sonny Sekhon Leads Canada's First Ever WSOP Circuit Main Event Final Table!

A total of 1,032 player signed up for the first ever WSOP Circuit Main Event (The River Rock Main Event) held in Canada - the third largest in WSOP Circuit history and the largest cash buy-in poker tournament ever in Canada. After 3 days of play, the player field had been narrowed down to only 9 players and Day 3 chip leader Sonny Sekhon held 4,660,000 chips, almost 33 percent more than Ryan Biermann in second place.

Time for 2010/2011 WSOP Circuit

About a month has pasted since the 2010 WSOP Main Event, the last event at the 2010 World Series of Poker, went on a break in wait for the final table that will be played in November. Tomorrow it's finally time for the first stop on the 2010/2011 WSOP Circuit. The first stop on the tour will take place at Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Iowa and after that there are another 12 stops scheduled. One of these stops will take place in October outside the U.S.  - Emerald Casino in South Africa.

However, according to the WSOP Circuit crew, there might even be more stops added to the tour. New for this season is that there will be a big final at Caesars Palace in April next year. One can qualify for this final, for example, via a new ranking system that was introduced this year.
