 | Overview |
Betfair Poker was established in the year 2004. It is owned and operated by the Sports Exchange Ltd. which is renowned as the largest sports exchange in the world. Betfair Poker has recently moved from their independent poker network and joined the Ongame Network. Betfair Poker is particularly well-liked by UK and European players. It is a fast growing poker site due to the fact that is has many great promotions and tournaments (over $4 million in tournaments held monthly), a large game variety, great software/graphics, and access to a large sports exchange customer base. At present, Betfair Poker is one of the major players in the European market.
Unfortunately, US players are not accepted. Thus, there is a big drop in traffic during European off-hours.
|
| |
 | Software |
After Betfair Poker had cut its ties from Cryptologic Network, it established its own software interface. By the end of July 2010, Betfair joined the Ongame Network. The partnership between Betfair and Ongame Network led to a significant player liquidity migration to Ongame Network from Betfair Poker’s Independent poker room. By operating on Ongame Network’s P5 Poker Engine, Betfair Poker offers their players an enhanced gaming environment, suitable for any poker wallet, with the liquidity to energize cash games and tournaments.
As the Betfair software is developed by Ongame Network, the functionality is good and stable. The functions on the table are easily adapted and the navigation is clean and simple. You can customize your preferences as for table size and limits.
|
| |
 | Traffic |
Ongame Network rank among the highest middle sized poker networks in player numbers. There will not be any problems finding games at Betfair. With an average of approximately 20 - 25,000 players online, nearly 3,000 cash players and around 11,000 tournament players at peak time Betfair Poker is surely a place to satisfy most players.
With a customer base spreading across the globe, except for the US, Betfair do have players in time zones that will cover 24 hour traffic, however, it should be noted that Euoropean hours stands out pretty distinctly.
|
| |
 | Opponents |
Betfair poker has an average competition level. As most Ongame poker sites have alot of sportsbook customers, there will be chances to find loose competition especially on the lower tables. For a good poker player, Betfair poker will be a good place to fish even though the competition level rises along with the stake levels.
Betfair poker is recommended as a good starting point for the new players.
|
| |
 | Tournaments |
|
Betfair Poker operates on a numerous number of scheduled tournaments with buy-ins varying from a few dollars all the way up to a couple of hundreds for the big tournaments. Most tournaments namely the single-table and multi-table Texas Hold ‘Em have many people playing to make it worth your while. Betfair Poker’s vast range of tournaments offers guaranteed prize pools; for example, 20 guaranteed tournaments per day. The largest of these tournaments are the daily $11,000 tournament, the weekly $16,000 tournament and the monthly $50,000 guaranteed tournament. Aside from the tournaments stated above, substantial Sit and Go tournaments are also available. These Sit and Go tournaments can also be played in turbo mode.
|
| |
 | Cashgames |
|
Cash games at Betfair Poker are very limited as the games offered are only Texas Hold ‘Em (Fixed, Pot, and No-Limit) and Omaha Hi and Hi-Lo (Fixed and Pot Limit). Games here at Betfair Poker are fast, soft and loose and usually are concentrated in low to medium stakes Limit and No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em. Low and medium stakes players will surely find plenty of action here, but players who like high stakes might have to search elsewhere for good games.
|
| |
 | Bonuses/Loyalty |
|
Betfair Poker offers a guaranteed 30% rakeback bonus which is the usual standard of rakeback percentage of most Ongame poker rooms.

 | Support |
|
The Betfair Poker customer service support is available 24 hours a day through telephone and e-mail. There is also a FAQ (frequently asked questions) section that gives players quick answers to the most common questions. Most people have stated that their customer service support may be very knowledgeable but some regard that their efficiency isn’t that great. You can contact them via their e-mail address which is pokerinfo@betfair.com. You can also call them if you are in the UK through 0870 90800 120 (for free). If you are outside the UK territory, you can call them at +44 207 074 7272.

Betfair is now one of Ongame network skin. You know, Ongame has a reliable, stable software. But honestly to say, I personally don't like that software because they don't have "join/leave waiting list" button. I don't know why one of the best poker network's software leave such a obvious lack not be updated. It'll be an easy and minor change and that will make their software perfect. That's the reason I scored only 8 grade Betfair. Players are a little bit more sophisticated than other rooms and that makes Betfair games so fun and some players have a tendency to be over aggressive. I reccomend you find such players and eat them.

Betfair Poker officially joined the Ongame Poker Network in 2010, a move that helps both poker rooms to increase traffic and now you can play more than 15 simultaneous tables with a sharp graphics. You cand find there lots of poker games such as Texas Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Seven-Card Stud and several of the Hi-Lo versions as well. Most of the players are from Europe because this site does not accept U.S. players but at peak hours, the number of seated cash-game players can exceed 5000 players.Betfair offers a number of great promotions also. They also have Betfair Horse Racing and Betfair Sports. Deposit/Withdrawal Methods: most commonly used credit and debit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Delta, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, Laser)

Betfair long time was a poker room to which I didn't pay the attention. It is strange, because in all other rooms I was registered long ago. Thanks to BankrollMob I nevertheless turned the look to Betfair. Also it is very glad to it. I will tell about several important features of this poker room: 1. Here the most attractive salutatory bonus on the first deposit. The most generous and the easiest. 2. Here mass of interesting and unusual games. 3. Here the sea of weak players which come from a casino and office of rates. To play with them - it is very profitable. I advise to all to be registered in Betfair Poker.

Bet fair is made for football bets not poker, i dont like this trend of bwin, 888 and these betsites to add poker as their new trend, i just find it disturbing, if you have great sites which offers grate rooms i dont understand the reason why they made them, i bet they are not even earning winnings with poker,
however i must say its a common (good) site, but when it comes to my mind bet fair i just remind the football bets which are like top 3 best football bet sites in the whole world,
anyways, tried it and its not bad!

etfair Poker was established in 2001 after the enormous success of their sports betting exchange program. Since then Betfair has been growing at a fast rate. Betfair uses it’s own custom build software and does not operate on a network, hence the fairly low traffic numbers. Currently Betfair averages around 1200 cash game players at peak hours, and 700 at non peak hours. Betfair Poker’s tournament traffic is considerably higher.

I'm a client of betfair for almost one year... I have started betting at sports events but then i tried poker events and i have done well because i made a lots of money . I'm not a pro at poker but i think that poker at betfair is very well organized and very profitable to people who can play reasonbly well. My opinion is very positive and i think that it (betfair poker) is the best house of poker between all of houses that are most recognized for sports betting (like bwin poker, betclic poker, etc).

Betfair is good poker room for beginers.Fair around atmosfair,no money presure on smalls stakes.New version of software is not designed like I want but works very good.Freerolls every hour with little price 5$.Previous was max 250 players, but now enter more then 1000players.Very good support team maybe smaller and slower but good.Waiting on small stakes is smaller but on >20$ is very bad around 5min for 6 max tables. Most of the players if you dont show bluff is not agresive and plays 3,4 bet rules or they are call station beforer they hit something or they see the river with probably best hand

Betfair poker shares the same software as Bwin, so they are just as good on that field. There are always a lot of people at the tables so waiting time is minimal. They have always welcomed starters who don't have bankrolls so they have one Omaha and NL bankroll tournaments every hour, 24 hours a year and they are actually really easy to beat. Also, their welcome bonus is one of the best around since you get to chose how much you want no matter what amount you deposit. Their support is not the best, but is okay. Points reward system is mediocre at best, nothing special but those are just details. All in all, Betfair is a very good looking poker room.

Being part of the ongame network means bad news. The ongame main problem is their software a complete disaster and has destroyed the reputation of online poker. I've been playing with the ongame network for sometime on almost 7 of their sites including betfair, betsafe, bwin, whitebet poker, full deck poker...etc and 100% of the time players with the largest stack are favored to win everytime with the worst hands. I also think their software is manipulated for their personal gain from rake per hand, giving 3 or 4 members top pairs for example AA another player KK another QQ and those hands are very strong to fold and all players go all in making good amount of rakes per hand.
I was considering depositing and try it out but I lost interest in these cheat sites with their cheat software.
NO THANK YOU! Pokerstars still proves its the best poker room online that really gives credit to experienced players instead of newbies that play blind folded and complete non sense.
Worst poker experience ever!

This is room Im working on right now. They are on Ongame network so software is known thing and of corse they have good traffic. Opponents are very very fishy and soft. Mostly calling stations and maniacs. They offer good first deposit bonus and great freeroll for new players with 2500$ prize pool! When I played it there was 350 people registered so have value of more then 5$ and you get entry for first deposit that can be 10$! (I won that tourney for nice 620$!) They have great loyalty system and nice SNG and MTT leaderboards.

Betfair Poker is still a small community but it tries. Moving their game platforms was the right move. They started gaining players, me included and i cannot say i am disappointed with them Sure, it;s no Full Tilt or Party Poker but maybe it's for the best. You won't see great players joining this community unless joining for their friends to play with. Average on freeroll action and scores also average in cash games. Some bonuses for sign up, but not available to all. Check carefully terms and conditions before applying for one.

The previous skin was really poor but since last summer, Betfair Poker has moved to Ongame Network. This network is way more stable than the previous one. There is a lot of players on this network (generally about 10,000) and you can find all the kind of tournaments and cash games. Also, you can easily create your owm table and play with your buddies in cash our tournaments games. On sunday night, you can play in big guaranteed tournaments. Finally there is also several freerolls as well as private freerolls.
A great move for Betfair so I will give them an 8/10.

Forget the first review. Betfair has moved his poker room to the Ongame network. Still Hold'em, Omaha and Stud games, with the exception of Razz, are on offer. 5 card draw, both fixed limit and pot limit, are new games. Shorthanded games are only 5-max, as it is usual at Ongame. New to me are the "coinflip" SnGs. Both players start with a healthy stack at those, one chip! Rake at the low level SnGs is quite high, so players should start at higher stakes or choose another poker room for SnG play.
