Celeb Poker review overviewOverview
Celeb Poker is a continuously growing poker site which is part of the Boss Media/International Poker Network (IPN). It was established in 2004 and its aim is to give poker players of different nationalities to have the chance to compete against each other, even with somewhat famous celebrities. What makes Celeb Poker also popular is that it is a very good site for international players due to the fact that it offers US dollar, Euro, Pound, and other currency tables for playing. The overall gaming quality is good with high flop percentages and bigger pots.

Celeb Poker’s popularity has since increased yet again because you get the chance to play against many celebrities, whether you know them or not. Nevertheless, this is how Celeb Poker got its name. US celebrities who play in Celeb Poker are movie stars Joaquim Denies Almedia and Lou Diamond Phillips. An Asian celebrity who plays Celeb Poker is Marco Fu, a snooker player. Mostly, the celebrities playing here are of European descent which attracts more European players each day to this site. European celebrities who play here are Mark Williams, Jimmy White and Ken Doherty (snooker players); Alan Brazil and Chris Brooks (radio presenters); Gareth Hunt (actor); Harry Redknapp (football manager); Kenny Miller, Matthew Etherington, Paul Ince and Simon Davies (football players); Lawrence Dallaglio (rugby player); Scott Robinson (former 5ive member); Nick Leeson (rogue trader); and Normal Pace (a comedian). You will see a comprehensive biography of all these celebrity poker players on the Celeb Poker website.

Unfortunately, US players are not accepted.

Celeb Poker software reviewSoftware
Celeb Poker possesses very good graphics which gives a better gaming experience. Its graphics are detailed and the background looks realistic and easy on the eyes. The sound effects are outstanding too. There is also a cool count-down timer over each avatar that tells you the how much time there is left to act on. New players will find the interface user friendly. You can also see the number of hands per hour, the percentage of players viewing the flop and the average pot in the lobby and when at the table. They also have multi-tabling of up to 5 tables. They now have options for different languages and currencies which can drive more international competition to their site.

Celeb Poker is considered as one of the most famous poker sites existing today because of its overall entertaining game play with lots of fish even at the higher stakes and you also get the chance to play against some of the world’s famous celebrities and personalities. You can spot these famous people from their “Celebrity Name Tags” if you happen to play against them.

Celeb Poker traffic reviewTraffic
Because Celeb Poker is part of the Boss Media/International Poker Network (IPN), they have average traffic. When Celeb Poker was forced to not accept US players in 2006, they suffered greatly, but today it has gradually again built up its player numbers. As its name suggests, Celeb Poker has celebrity players that love poker – one of the main attractions that drive more and more players to this site each day. There are about 5,450 players of Celeb Poker during off-peak hours in both ring games and cash games. At peak hours, there are about 3,300 ring game players and 13,300 tournament players which average at about 15,000 to 16,000 online players at Celeb Poker each time.

Celeb Poker opponents reviewOpponents
Celeb Poker’s players mostly are at the loose side. This is very suitably recommended for beginner poker players. This site has probably the highest flopping percentage even at the higher limit stakes. There are a few sharks here but several fishy players with very deep pockets. Overall, the very poor competition is one of the reasons why many poker players enjoy playing at Celeb Poker whether they are experienced or not. If you are experienced at poker but do not have much cash to bet in, then this is the right poker site for you.

Celeb Poker tournaments reviewTournaments
Tournaments offered are the Sit-N-Go, freerolls, single and multi tables and satellites. In addition, they also now have Heads-Up tournaments. Satellites are very frequent for major live events such as the Irish Poker Open and other high-ranking European events.

Many poker enthusiasts really like Celeb Poker’s appealing diversity of hourly tournaments. The $25,000 guaranteed weekly poker tournament and the $100,000 guaranteed monthly poker tournament always catches the attention of most players of Celeb Poker.

Other existing tournaments are the Asian Poker Classic, EPT Barcelona, Austrian Classic and the $12,000 Choose Your Own Tournament. These fun and thrilling games help Celeb Poker obtain a steady rise in their traffic, most especially during its peak hours.

Celeb Poker cashgames reviewCashgames
Celeb Poker offers games such as Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo, Five Card Draw and Five Card Draw 7-A.

They have low to high stakes table limits. They also have a casino with games like Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Stud Poker, Sic Bo and slot machines.

ok room, and I at last, after 5 days got my 19$ no deposit bonus....

rating may rise if the 19 become more Smile - i have to give it a few days (who am I kidding - it will all be lost in an hr or so Smile )

I played on this room for one hour and uninstalled it after

First reason: Spent my free 19$ bankroll
Second reason: I'm poor

I'd say that since this room is on Ipoker servers, it is really the same as Titan poker... It is really good, basic soft graphs, lots of players and tons of tourneys...

They don't have alot of interesting freerolls...

This poker room tells people that celebrities play at their rooms... I would like to know if it is true and why.

I give a 7/10

I will never play again on celebpoker

If you want to look away from the complication it brings sometimes in selecting a ring game table, one of the best features is their availaiblity of games in the 3 major currencies (USD, Euros and GBPounds). But once you get your selection cirtera right, this is a BIG advantage.

The players are mostly on the looser side, and there's enough volume to offer a very wide selection of active tables in ALL stakes.

Their 199$ no deposit bonus is certainly one of the bet offers online at the momenet, though the requirements for getting the second, third etc. installments are on the high side to be honest. But nonetheless, with the wide range of tables, it's easy enough to find a few tables that earn you quite a nice number of points.

CelebPoker is certainly one of the better sites in the iPoker network, which is growing by the day, so more and more players are becoming your apponents to lure into your traps Blink

The sites offers a more than average nuber and kind of promotions, running constantly or for a short term. No problem for anyone there in finding a promotion you like ! And the "rewards shop" is certainly something to look at, since the "prices" asked for the items is rather on the low side, so there's something there for everyone, and it's all fairly "affordable". But the selection of items to choose from is no doubt one of the best I've ever found on a poker site, going from the usual items to tourney tickets and even cash, at rates that are very honest.

Anyone saying that CelebPoker is a poor site probably has had some bad experience in plying and wants to take it out on the site, because I really can't see ANYTHING wrong, on the contrary. This is one of the best sites around in my view (of course leaving the BIG sites like Full Tilt, Pokerstars etc. out of the picture). The only flaw I see (but that will change in time, I suspect) is the rather limited offer of really BIG tournaments.

Anyone who is looking for a new good site to play on in the "middle class" of poker sites cannot make a better choice that this one. And believe me, I've registered and actively played on litterally dozens and dozens of sites in the years I've been playing poker online. And I'm not an easy player to satisfy, that's for sure Blink

But when/if there's any kind of problem, just try their online or e-mail support. I have had GREAT experiences there too, and there's NOTHING they haven't solved for me QUICKLY and TO MY FULLEST SATISFACTION. That's very important too.

So folks, check it out, you won't be disappointed. And with the 199$ no deposit offer now, you really cannot go far wrong !

Paul.

Celeb poker is part of the well-known ipoker network. That means that there are always playes playing both cash games and tournaments at any hours of the day. For those that do not know ipoker software is reliable and easy to adjust playing even if you are used to better softwares. Its tournaments have a nice structure, most of them with 15minute blinds and also big guarantees.. Cash games are quite softer than the major poker rooms and multitabling has become easier with the new ''mini tables''. Their support is always online and accesible via live chat so you don't have to wait for replies through e-mails.
