Paradise Poker review overviewOverview
Paradise Poker is a real pioneer in the world of online poker. Their website was open in 1999 when online poker was just beginning to become popular. In the beginning, the software used by Paradise Poker served as the industry standard. Later, Paradise Poker decided to take an important step and join the International Poker Network.

Because of the 2006 legislation Paradise Poker stopped accepting players from United States. As a result, their player base decreased and led Paradise Poker to the decision of joining an online poker network.

The new Paradise Poker uses the online poker software created by Boss Media. The games are soft and juicy. Once you join this online poker room, you have the opportunity to get instant access to a good number of bonuses and guaranteed online poker tournaments.

Paradise Poker software reviewSoftware
Paradise Poker software is simply superb in almost every way. The graphics give this online poker room a very exotic look. The colours and animations of the poker tables are pleasant and you will enjoy watching them. There are also some negative points to their poker software. As an example, you cannot see the pot and bet amounts. This may not be a problem if you play a slow game, but once you hit for the turbo tables it may become a problem.

The animations and sound effects are nice and you will never want to turn them off since they are not annoying unlike those of other online poker rooms. The player notes and some nice hand statistics are a big plus for Paradise Poker. While playing poker at Paradise Poker we have not experienced any problems with the software.

Paradise Poker traffic reviewTraffic
At the moment, the traffic volume at Paradise Poker is placed in the middle segment. The online statistics show that during the peak hours you will be able to see up to 3,300 ring game players at the tables and 13,000 players at the online poker tournaments.

Because of unique promotions like the Million Dollar Freeroll, the traffic of their online poker room has increased a lot.

Most of the traffic at Paradise Poker is concentrated at the Texas Hold’em tables. Still, you will also be able to find a decent amount of tables with the other types of games too (Omaha, 7 Card Stud and others). We enjoyed playing at the heads up tables a lot.

Paradise Poker opponents reviewOpponents
Paradise Poker used to be the largest online poker room in the world. But as time passed by things have changed. Because of heavy competition in the online poker industry and because of the 2006 US legislation, Paradise Poker started to have smaller numbers of players. However, this changed the moment Paradise Poker joined a larger online poker network, the International Poker Network.

The tables at Paradise Poker are not quite beginner friendly. Still, if you play at the micro stakes, you will be able to win easily. The moment you go to the higher stakes, you will see the competition getting tougher and making good money will take more time and skills. As an example, when playing at the $0.5 - $1 stakes the average flop percentage will be no more than 35%, which is a lot lower than other online poker rooms. You will also find a lot of lower buy-in tournaments with soft competition at Paradise Poker.

Paradise Poker tournaments reviewTournaments
The online poker tournaments at Paradise Poker are on all the time (24/7). Some online poker tournaments have a low buy in fee, while others are quite large. The larger the buy in; the larger the prize pool of the tournament.

Some tournaments might also reward you with a trip and a seat at some of the world’s largest live poker tournaments like World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour.

You also have the opportunity to play private tournaments allowing you to play with at least 20 of your friends online.

Paradise Poker cashgames reviewCashgames
Paradise Poker may not have everything, but when it comes to cash game variety, they certainly have the most complete package out there. When you join this online poker room, you will be able to find the following online poker cash games: Texas Hold'em, No Limit, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, 5 Stud, heads-up, Draw, Pineapple and Pineapple Hi/Lo. Also, each game is offered in the following combinations: No limit, Pot Limit, Fixed Limit and Turbo games.

Paradise Poker bonuses & loyalty reviewBonuses/Loyalty
Paradise Poker is packed with many great online poker promotions. At the moment, they offer a nice and generous sign up bonus. When you register at Paradise Poker for the first time, you will be able to get up to $500 at 100% match up rate, which you have 90 days to claim.

Paradise Poker is one of the few large online poker rooms who does not offer a loyalty program. This means that beside the normal sign up bonuses and other promotions there is no system to reward loyal poker players.

Paradise Poker transactions reviewTransactions
Paradise Poker has been around for more than 10 years. As a result, you will find the most popular payment methods available, when you decide to make your first deposit. The following payment methods are currently accepted by Paradise Poker: Credit Cards, NETeller, FirePay, wire transfer and bank draft.

Paradise Poker support reviewSupport
At the moment, there is no live chat or phone support available but the e-mail customer support service is great. We have managed to receive an answer very fast. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, so the answers will be full of information about the problem that you might have. You can also check out the Frequently Asked Questions section on the Paradise Poker website, which seems to have a lot of answers for new players just joining this poker room.

I started playing at paradise because of the gift offer BRM offers us players. The competition in pretty hard comparing to other poker sites, but managable till 15 dollar buy ins. One problem is that there is that great of varity in games that you can play wherethere are actually more players. For grinders, I would not recommend the site. As already mentioned, the transfer to the sportbet account is symply annoying. I also had some problems with the support. Their server crashed, and because of the lame hand history, its impossible to find out which sitngos should be recredited. The online support is friendly doh, but they have no oower at all. The mail support is the slowest I ever experienced. I would only recommend this site if you liek making sport bets, but definetly not for poker.

Oh what can I tell you about Paridice Poker..
This site is actually very good, I have had only good experiances here, even thou I havent made a withdrawal...yet!
The game play is OK I have never had issues with connection or diss-connections althou my fried has had very notchie play in the past.
The SnGs are quick to fill up even when theres not a lot of traffic.
$500 at 100% match is a good offer (much std for poker rooms now)
there are different games but I only played the NLH games SnGs and some ring games.
Ring games are good with lots of action at the lower levels like upto 5c / 10c any higher than this and it gets a little more serious as im sure you can imagin.
SO all in all a nice place to play and if your moving your bankroll about to reap some bonus's give Paridice a try im sure you wont be dissapointed.
Good luck at the tables.

I used to love paradise, however, I have come across a couple of problems recently. Since paradise has been taken over by Sportingbet your money is automatically transfered from Paradise to sportingbet and you have to transfer it back to paradise everytime you log in. Initially this was not a problem, however my funding has now dropped below $5 (no I am not a big fish in the world of online poker), and there is a minimum transfer of $5!!! So I now have $4 sat on a sports betting site that I am not interested in!!! I have contacted their customer support twice about this matter to date, and still have not recieved a reply from my e-mails. They have live support (like using msn messenger), which I contacted only for them to tell me that they could not help as this is technical support and to e-mail the site, which I had done twice already to no avail.

I use to play at paradise way back in the day as a matter of fact it was the first site i ever played at.Overall though im my opinion its a good quality poker site. They offer some good freerolls with some decent payouts. The setup i liked kind of different from everyone else.Alot of sites you almost feel like you get cheated sometimes but here at paradise it did not feel that way in my opinion. If your a begginning player and would like to start out playing decent freerolls with some decent payouts then i would reccomend this site to you. They offer other good tournaments as well and you can always find a game.

Paradise Poker was one of the first online poker rooms. But that time is long gone, and they are now part of the IPN network, powered by Boss Medias software. That software is a bit on the slow side, but good to use. They have games on Dollar, Euro and Sterling tables. Most shorthanded games are played on 5max tables. Uncommon games on offer at Paradise Poker are 5-Card Stud and 5-Card Draw. Games start on low stakes, so play there is possible even with a tiny bankroll. Peak time is the evening in europe.
