As per an email from this site and now a phone call to follow up, I am asking opinions as I have never had this offered to me before. I would also like to know if anyone has had a similar offer. As per agreement,( if i decide to do it), I cannot say site name etc.
A site has offered me to deposit in my account xxxx amount of $$$$ every month and I must play ring, sitn go's of my choice as well as some MTT"s that they choose. I am going to be required to play xxx amount of hours per/week , I may keep all my winnings, and at end of month my account will go back to XXX amount of $$$$. They want me to play all games that I do now, ( i play all and i am not to bad at H.O.R.S.E. either ), and at the end of 6 months, either we renegotiate or either can back out of deal.
I have a week to make my decision and i would like input from others on any extra questions i should ask etc.
Thanks all for your help.
and to add to this i would be required to start up tables.

Posted by gaztheyorkie: are you required to attend live events on their behalf? what promotional work are you expected to do?
cons, your tied in to a contract- make sure you read the small print.
pro's once your in your in. you have plenty of time to scout around whislt effectivly freerolling
Hi gastheyorkie they want to check out my live in 3 upcoming tournys to tbd by them over the 6 month period. At this point I have no idea where when or how much but that is one of the areas I need clarification on. As for promotional, good one and I have no clue on that so i will ask Thanks
Yes i will def read all fine print.
This is real new to me and I must admit a little exciting. but I am always cautious and dont want to get to happy just to have it not be all its cracked up to be.

Posted by shokaku: You should make up your mind if the number of hours are worth the amount of cash they give you. And if you think that the site is trustworthy.
yes hours will play a large area of my decision. as for site being trustworthy, yuppers it is a large and well known site .
Read all the fine print yourself, then if you feel the need to seek professional advice I would suggest doing so. You don't want to get tied up in a nasty contract that can come back and bite you. But it sounds like it could be a good job, get paid to do what you love to do.

some players get offers like that most of them from not so well knowing sites , they make such offers because they need more traffic at their site . if it is interesting to do , don't know , but i would not do that !

Sounds like a good offer to me, If you got plenty of time to play there, and still be able to play at sites of ur choice too ( ? ) I'd read the small print thoroughly, ask advice from experienced ppl like Flangel and take ALL WEEK to think it over ( 6 mths can be a long time).

I def am taking the entire week and lucky for me a good friend of mine is an attorny who specializes in contracts,( usually with sports figures though). As for playing at other sites , they said I would have to stick to just theirs.

lol B1gfoot thanks for the compliment but I dont think that I am "getting sponsored" before Durrrr The only thing that they have said about any "travelling" etc so far is for me to play in 3 live events in 6 months , but they choose the tournys.
In Niagara Falls thee is a WSOP tourny every year and I am thinking that maybe that would be one of them idk.

You need to deposit certain amount every month?? Isnt that enough to get you thinking about their motives. Be careful if this is not offer from some of the top 3 sites. I never heard that pros need to make a deposit every month.

lol Dachaaa, lets put it simple,
to get a 'offer' from any poker site to join thier PRO team isnt something that happens just like that, you can't email these guys and say oh can i be a pro, i know players that have raked in thousands gone to the wsop and cashed yet still cant get a deal, yep they casn play poker and play damn good they do, but they lack on promotion skils. OP just be carefull thats all i can say, i genuinly am happy and rather excited for you, hopefully this wont keep you from the forums. just be sure this is what you want, i know that might sound crazy right now but 3 months into it.. you know.
on a side note if the site is willing to stake you 'as it where' for live events make damn good use of it, becuase the more live games your at the more you get noticed and i garantee by the time you are negoatioting your next contract you will have more than one offer on the table, what you have is the golden ticket to where the real money in poker is made!
best of luck to you and should you ever need a PA ...my email is **removed**
ok so i had to squeeze a joke in somehwere jeeeeeze
