hi people i lost $100 in a pot last night trips ace against full house whats the most money have you lost in a pot, did you go on tilt aferwards or just smash things up lets hear all the storys
I was playing 10NL, was playing for 5 hours straight, me and this other guy were crushing the table time after time. his stack was around 65$. Got dealt KK, raised preflop, got a 3bet from him, 4bet, he called. flop came KQ6, I bet he raised I re-raised, he pushed. I showed my set, he showed QQ. turn was an 8, river, guess what, Q. I never felt so sick on the tables. since then I leave the table when I'm 3 buy ins deep.

Posted by Joe_Average: Must disappoint you, lost $55 once with 4 10's to 4 Q's, he caught me on the river. Yes, I did tilt, so stopped playing for a few days
Had something similar. But with a quad of 7 vs quad of 9. I flopped the the quads, villian pushed all in, I called and then runner, runner and BANG! That was sooo sick!

most I lost on a single pot was around $600US and yes I went on tilt and yes that was most of my bankroll and yes i was not following good brm. For the record, I was beaten quads vs quads and i was well ahead on the board when i got my chips in. But this is exactly why BRM is important, cause getting your chips in EV+ isn't always gonna go your way and if you risk half your roll on a single hand.. believe me it isn't pleasant lol.

Posted by dozn01: thank you someone who has lost more than me
i hope someone posts a bigger lost just to make you feel a bit better by the way that must of hurt alot
It was on NL25 deep tables where people could buyin for 50. Didnt hurt that much since I'm used to variances anyway. I believe i ended up on profit at the end of the session but that pot took away most of the profit though. It didn't hurt my Bankroll that much either since i was kind of rolled for nl50 but decided to stay on nl25 for further grinding
Remember Bankroll mangement people.. its one of the most if not the most important aspect you learn in poker.

Sick hand.
In my experience as a modest player I am, my biggest lost was about $10-15 in NL10 cash. I prefer play S&G because I can control better my lost and winnings, but when I've lost a couple of S&G sets I've lost like $30.

I cant even remember what the hand was. I know it was HU and the opp had about 5 games running all HU (i should have seen past my own stupidity) lol
I just went all in as he had taken $170 from me the hand before.

Before bank-roll mgmt skills, my biggest loss in a pot was around $35. I know, why am I posting? That was online. At a live table it's another story. There's something about seeing the $ right there in front of you that visualizing it in your stack becomes more and more plausible. I'm not taking anything away from online play, trust me, but when you can literally smell the money, feel it, hear the rustling of the bills and rubber bands being replaced around rolls of Jacksons ( yank $20's), Benjamins (C-note) it's like poker is in "season" and I'm ready to mount. Okay, I'll stop. Oh yeah, over a thousand. Good luck, M8!

lol the other thing about live poker is they generally, in my experience, don't have "micro limit's" normally starts like $2/$5 or something..
