Do you think poker "games" on the mobile or console are any good and can you learn from them? I have a Gus Hansen poker game on my phone and to be honest with you it isn't an easy thing to beat, I have won the main event ( last stage) but It is difficult some times and can be a challenge. Do you have a game you play when you cant get to a P.C.? Does it give you the same buzz as playing on the P.C.? Can you be a better player for using it? ? ? ?

I tried one and it was totally stupid. If there was like two kings on the board, everybody called a raise, because they had KK. If there was three of a kind, or better, everybody raised, because they had such a good hand. Not even a megasuperfish is that stupid.
But that was just one game to my PC. It had slotmachines on it too, so it was probably not one of the best...

I tried a few poker games, I think the best one is 'WSOP 2008: Battle for the Bracelets'. It was nice for learning the game, but now I only play online. There's nothing like playing with real people. Sometimes you encounter some maniacs, but I guess they are everywhere, no matter what site you play...

I played Payout Poker & Casino for PSP. The poker table was fun, but no more than that. Bad plays all the time, opponents were supposed to have different personalities and playing styles, but all looked a bit random.
And the worst off all: many games were rigged for the player. You could become a virtual millionaire playing slot machines.
Have the WSOP, tried it a few times and never touched it since. Just isn't the same as playing for real money. Trying to learn from a game is hard because I don't feel the impact when losing play money than it is for real money. Found myself taking a gamble/risk more often on play than for real so if anything it would make learning the game worse.

I didn't know about this kind of games. I'm going to download a couple and play it to see how real are, but I guees they can't be as tough as a real game is. I mean, difficult can be similar but whne you play for real money or in a important torunament there are so many factors which could influence your choices that a PC game cannot copy.

nothing can beat real play. these programs become too predictable after some time you've played them and you can easily find loopholes to win like other games but they are pretty good if you are new to poker and help you learn the very basics of poker

I have a WSOP game in my mobile phone and once i saw some friends playing a PC poker game with old west figures, with objectives by the middle, and that was nice for those who like pc games, but not for those who like poker, because it has nothing to do with the real thing! Nothing will give a thrill like the real thing, knowing you can win money just for playing the game you love! Its the best!
