Who´s to say that you played wrong, when in reality you took the pot with Ace high, making your opponent fold his hand. Big Smile

I think Jam put you in the right hand, with Ax and tried to get you to drop it. Even your re-raise wasn´t enough to convince him otherwise.

On the river a high card appeared and that was enough for him to believe that you hit it maybe with AJ, and of course your bet at the end had a little to do with him giving up his KQ... or similar. Even 77´s or 88´s.

Congrats on winning the pot, but please be careful with those bluffs, especially when someone calls your re-raise. They might be trapping you good, and make you lose alot of money.

good luck and please do post more! Thumbs Up

it was ok played, you probably had a better read on this player than we do just from the hand history.

the thing that i thought was the weakest part of this hand was raising A9 off pretty much under the gun. You dont have position and Ace nine is pretty weak, it can get you into lots of trouble.

If you had a read on the player then this is brilliantly played, however, i'll not be doing that kind of things too often.

see im not that good yet to get solid reads like that (assuming he did read his player) and be able to raise that much on nothing ace high is really gutsy for me lol (reason y i play low limits lol but still... there are times when i attempt elaborate bluffs and win.. but few and far between)

Nice bluff. I think u played it right, otherwise he would call. I also like to overbluf people.. ( sometimes it goes wrong but in most situations you feel when somebody is bluffin)

i think that was a crappy hand u just lucked out there like most fishes do but still if u keep playing like that then ur bankroll wont last long mate .. u got lucky ur opponent didnt hit . thats my opinion

Heh probably some of you think this was good bluff etc .. but however it isnt that good ... since you cant be very profitable with this kind of bluff if u dont have some backdoor draw ... Confused

i agree with him, u hard nothing dude, u re raised pre flop with a poor hand. perhaps u knew that guys n stuff to bluff, perhaps he is too tight trying to defend a good pre flop hand, but the play as it is, i think doest work in the long run. My Opnion

i think it's no good to play that hands in that position... why you played that ??
9-10max table you should not play that, may be sometimes on the blinds or on the button. If you like this hands you should play 5-6 max tables. You should just wait the nuts on that tables and this limits and thats it...
