OK, so I was playing at Everest last night, pretty drunk. (My wife works strange hours, so it happens we get hammered in the middle of the week sometimes). I spot this total moron, raises with everything and plays it hard whatever somes on the flop. (Im talking 86o and stuff.) I get J10o, call his raise, figure, if I hit the flop I'm getting his stack, if not I fold.
The flop comes AKQ, two spades. So, I have the nuts so far. Turn is a 7. Now we're all in (50 $ pot), and I can see he has got AQ. Two pairs. He doesn't have the flushdraw, wich is good. BUT, I know he can still win. Though I'm drunk enough not to understand how. (We all know he can get an A or an Q for a full house, but Pjot did not know that at the moment, he was a bit confused, things went fast, 8 beers, you know the drill...)
River: 7.
Pjot was like: WFT!!??!! He has got three pairs!!! (AA, QQ, 77) How did he do that?!! Three pairs, is that better than a straigt? Please, noooooooooooo!!!
I was a bit surprised when the money was shoved over to my sida of the table.
So, the moral of the story... I don't really know. But maybe you shouldn't be that afraid of 3P.

But as I wrote, the situation was very confused. It was a new kind of poker, I was not totally sure of the rules, and such...

Didn't understand your post...
I think he ment, that in my first post, I wrote that you cant actuallt have three pairs. Thats pretty much the essence of the story. If yer drunk enough, you can belive it, but in real life.... no. U cant have 3P.
And when you come in to the thread, explaineing that very fact, (that 3P is not dangeroys) it's pretty funny. It is.
I wasn't sure if it was a joke, or not. But it sure was a good post.

Ok, mystery solved... I really thought you didn't know that you can't have 3P. Just trying to help, lol. That's why I said that. But sometimes it's hard to see if a message is in a tone of irony or a joke, at least to me, because english is just my second language...

u re amazing .....drink + poker => broke.... not sugest anyone to play poker while drunk i tested ....when u ll go up in the morning and to want to start a sesion and none of u re 1k $ aren t .....u search u re history and find some 100/200$ played cause of u re friends......NOT GOOOOODDDDDDD trust me.......sick moemnts
LOL 3 pair haha. I can't lie i actually had a similiar scare earlier today in an MTT, I had AQ on the button bumped it 3BB, got 1 caller who has about 75% of my stack size, the flop came 77A.... villain put 50% pot bet, i raised him just to make sure he doesnt have the 7... well he flat calls me & the turn comes a 5.... well somehow or another all the money ends up going in & he shows A5... and im like s**t darn!!!! he has bloody 2 pair!!... but the money slides to my side, "winner"... oh wait aces & sevens had a little moment there since i was so close to folding thinking he might have had the full house or the 7 lol *phew*
