how much of your own money do you put into poker  0
how much of your own money do you put into poker each week. At the moment I am out of work, But doing a manual and computerized accounts course, and as a married man with 2 children i cant be putting money into my poker accounts. So I really have to make the most of any free money bankrolls I get. I have around six poker sites with money in them 3 of which are free money bankrolls, so I have to grind away and try to build these up. The good thing is its helping me with bankroll management as I cant afford to play tourneys or cash games not suitable for my bankroll the bad thing is its hard to grind and make money so slowly. But as I love poker its better than not playing at all.
If i get a job soon i will probably put around 10 euro a week into my main site until i reach the 100 euro mark as this will make it possible to play 5c 10c cash tables comfortable.
The great thing about poker is it dosent have to be a expensive hobby so anybody can play and enjoy it without loosing a fortune (unless they are stupid) even a bad player can loose all the time but not go broke all he has to do is play at the small stakes.
And even playing with small bankrolls like 20 euro you can win big eg when i started poker i put 20 euro in paddy power poker and after a year i built it up to about 100 euro and then had 3 nice wins in mtt $5 tourneys and got to take out $1,400.
Anyway back to grinding and hope to win big soon and this time when i win make more use of it.

I do not put any money into poker, nowadays. I started a few years ago with these free bankrolls here, and then I put myself in another 2 000 SEK, wich is about 250 $, i belive, so I could make use of first deposit bonuses. And from there it has only gone up. (Not much, counting the time I have put into it, but anyways.) I have cashed out once, about 1 200 $, and I'm am soon about to do it again, hopefully this year. Smile

I do not consider myself a good player, but there are worse out there, that I prey on.

Me i worked out i put in around 300 to 400 euro in over 3 years But i have taken out around 2000 euro If I had discovered free money bankroll sooner i probably would have put in a lot less, im getting better at making my money last longer though. only for i took out so much at christmas time when i had those big wins i probably would have had only put that initial 20 euro in.
in fact i cant remember the last time i had to deposit money must have been a gook six months ago again only $30 and still playing it...... going up and down but still have it. But its low at the moment so have to tighten up again.
I haven't been the best at bankroll management but its some thing im working hard at now.

My online gaming has to pay for itself. I only deposit money that i have made on other poker rooms or online casinos.

In the first 3 yrs I deposited 400 euro and blew it to bad brm, in the last 2 yrs I deposited 80 euro and got some ndb's, spread over 4 accounts. Since then my brm is better (mainly from what I learned here), and slowly doubled it.
Now my skill has grown, as has my confidence, and my target is to double up again over the next 3 months.

It was not necessary because Im a winner in a long time!

I joined a free site made around 150$ there and used it to deposit on a couple of sites. i don't invest my money on poker sites just depend on my winnings and no deposit bonuses

So many great players here who never have to deposit. The sites that offer NDB's must love you lot. I stick €20 - €40 into poker every week, I wouldn't say I'm a bad player, i've won many a free roll and low end MTT, but I tend to blow my wad soon as I build it up. I'm a gambler, it's a fault.

Wow I am impressed I really wasnt expecting that, You wonder how poker sites make money??? but i suppose for eachl of you there must be around 100 who do deposit weekly. Just shows that good bankroll management pays off and the rest of us should apply it to our game. But as i said thats what im trying to do now as i cant be using my own money, I have Bigbet poker $10 nearly a week now and have just got it up to $20 playing carefully. So hopefully i can continue building it and hit all the bonous points i need to clear this bonus, if i do i will feel proud, as i think it would be a achievement to get a bonus cleared.

I regulary deposit up to (and sometimes over) £150 a month.
But I also withdraw money each month, I use my poker account as a sort of bank (just looking after my money) i'll win a little each week (on a good week) and withdraw when I need to.
Switching / transfering cash is so easy now days its just like having another bank! In to Moneybookers and out, it dont take long.
I'm sure the poker sites I play at would preffer me to only deposit but then I wouldn't eat at the end of each month lol, not really its not that tight in my house. Big Smile
I dont play with the kids dinner money hahaha.
I play well above my bankroll so if i only play a few nights a week so be it. Smile

I deposited 30$ on Cake on friday.....turned it into a nice 600$ bankroll running deep two days in a row in their 10k guaranteed. Usually....if I choose to deposit it's along the lines of 25-30$ on Cake and 10-15$ on Pokerstars....but never weekly!

Anyhow.....been having a break from poker for while - did me a world of good! Smile
