23456 because they take your lowest high card first so 6 in 23456 beats the 8 in A2358 If both of you have 6 as the highest then they take second highest card and so on so on ect

I don't like hi/low games. I think it's a bit stupid to split the pot in two and have people going for different pots at the same time. But I do understand the idea of a lo pot so maybe I can explain it to you.
The best lo hand has the lowest numerical value with as few duplicated cards as possible. The best hand is therefore A2345 since straights do not count in a lo hand. The next best is a2346, then a2356. Ace is always low so it doesn't matter if you have an ace and your opponent doesn't. It's the highest card that counts.
so 23456 beats a2358 cos six is lower than eight. 24567 beats 23458 cos 7 is lower than 8. If both hands share the highest card then the next highest counts. A2457 beats A3567 cos 5 is lower than 6.

yeah i think i got it and it sux, i tought it was plain simple like in other poker games like 2 pairs aces and deuces win against 2 pair of jacks and tens, you dont have to calculate anything, and i was sadly mistaken that ace is always lower then the fuckin deuce but thanks for clearing this for me

I dont play Hi/lo games at cash tables. Its common that only house "win" with rake. 2 people which are involved in pot split cash and both loose some money. I play only tournaments (mixed games) where those type of games are.
